As a key member of the team, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing tools and platforms that support complex financial forecasting, actuarial models, and data-driven insights for our enterprise clients. This role is critical in shaping the digital finance landscape, driving data-driven decision-making, enabling financial forecasting, and integrating actuarial models. The Team
You'll be an integral part of our esteemed Corporate Technology Team, focused on Finance Technology. Our team operates on a global scale, driving innovation and excellence across diverse areas of expertise. As a Developer, you'll play a pivotal role in high impact Corporate Technology Finance Initiatives. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with our Corporate Technology team and our stakeholders. The Impact:
- Design and develop scalable backend and frontend systems to support CFO use cases focusing on FP&A, Treasury and Actuarial use cases.
- Build and maintain APIs and microservices that process financial and actuarial data.
- Collaborate with finance and actuarial teams to understand modeling needs and translate them into technical requirements.
- Optimize computational performance for large-scale model runs and forecasting simulations.
- Ensure code quality and maintainability through best practices, testing, and documentation.
- Contribute to system architecture and technical design discussions.
- Participate in agile ceremonies and work within cross-functional teams (finance, actuarial, product).

The Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical field
- 8+ years of software development experience
- 1+ years of strong proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C#).
- 1+ year of experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and CI/CD pipelines.
The Ideal Qualifications
- Masters Degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- Experience in financial services, actuarial modeling, or FP&A platforms.
- Familiarity with tools like Anaplan, Adaptive Insights, or actuarial software like Prophet or MoSes.
- Exposure to Excel automation, VBA, or integrating spreadsheets into enterprise systems.
- Background in finance, actuarial science, statistics, or applied mathematics.
- Experience working with time series forecasting or Monte Carlo simulation models.
- Exceptional communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives.
Salary Range:
$144,800.00-$190,000.00At MassMutual, we focus on ensuring fair equitable pay, by providing competitive salaries, along with incentive and bonus opportunities for all employees. Your total compensation package includes either a bonus target or in a sales-focused role a Variable Incentive Compensation component.
