The Opportunity

As an Investment Product Consultant, you will manage and enhance the Proprietary Home Office Models (PHOM) platform, collaborating with Legal and Compliance to update ADVs and related documentation.

With assets under management expected to grow from $3B to $10B, your role will include testing new releases, assessing downstream impacts, and monitoring field escalations that may stem from recent enhancements. Your attention to detail and proactive issue tracking will be key to ensuring platform stability and advisor satisfaction.

The Impact

Our Wealth Management Product team empowers advisors, agencies, and MassMutual by offering open architecture investment and brokerage solutions. We help clients achieve their financial goals through informed investing, strategic planning, and seamless execution.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Product Development & Enhancement

  • Launch and manage new model products and platform enhancements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with MMLIS (MassMutual Investors Services, LLC) Trading Desk, Legal & Compliance (ADV updates), Envestnet and Orion Relationship Management.

Program Testing & Expansion

  • Test new configurations on the Wealth Management Services (WMS) platform to support fee-based advisory growth.
  • Support upcoming WMS programs like DC Participant Advice and Advisory HSA, which may interface with PHOM.

Data & Reporting Alignment

  • Work with the Data Reporting team and Envestnet Intelligence product team to ensure accurate data capture.

Technology Roadmap Integration

  • Align PHOM updates with broader system roadmaps (Envestnet, Wealthscape, A360, M&O Compensation), ensuring data reporting is considered in all enhancements.

The Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience in the financial services industry
  • Series 7 at time of application or must obtain within 1 year of hire
  • 2+ years participating in product implementation projects
  • 2+ years proven ability to organize tasks, prioritize competing deadlines, and execute deliverables efficiently across cross-functional teams

The Ideal Qualifications

  • 5+ years in the use of configuration, implementation and enhancement of product technology platforms
  • Persuasive communication and presentation skills as the position will often be required to present to the Field Force
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in the Microsoft suite of products (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
  • Proven capabilities in building out investment advisory enhancements and programs that are cutting-edge within the investment advisory marketplace
  • Proven capabilities in design that can give MMLIS a competitive edge in competing against the likes of LPL, Osaic, Raymond James, Cetera and Ameriprise in this space

Salary Range:

$104,900.00-$137,700.00
