As a Business Insights Analyst on the Lending & Banking Services team, you’re not just interpreting numbers, you’re engineering intelligence that powers decision-making at scale interpreting product adoption and advisor activity within our Wealth Management platform. You’ll architect dashboards, build predictive models, automate complex workflows, and extract signals from noise. This is where strategy meets data and analysis drives action. The Team
MassMutual’s Lending & Banking Services team is building the future of strategic borrowing within Wealth Management. Our solutions help advisors enhance client outcomes with integrated lending strategies from high-net-worth credit to business owner financing. You’ll work shoulder-to-shoulder with cross-functional leaders in Wealth Management across Product, Financial Planning, Practice Management, Lending & Banking, Trust, Investments and Operations. to drive data-backed transformation. This role gives you direct visibility into leadership decisions, end-to-end product performance, and the levers that shape firmwide growth. Whether it’s advice on investment strategies, retirement planning, estate planning, lending and banking, or trust services, our goal is to provide innovative and effective solutions that positively impact advisors and clients. You will report to the Head of Lending and Banking Services and work with other product teams in the Wealth Management division in addition to partnering with vendors, banks, and enterprise partners supporting business owner products. The collaborative and dynamic team environment includes members with extensive background and experience in financial products and asset management.
Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Business Intelligence & Reporting
Build and optimize internal and external data pipelines, dashboards, and scenario models that scale across products, platforms, and partners.
Design and deploy interactive, efficient self-service dashboards that deliver real-time insights and secure data to leadership, sales teams, and product owners.
Connect and transform disparate datasets into standardized, story-driven analytics using tools like SQL, Tableau, and Alteryx to facilitate cross-platform data connectivity and build compelling business narratives.
Deliver KPI transparency across advisor adoption, product profitability, pipeline health, and client engagement metrics.
Operational Efficiency & Innovation
Develop reporting workflows and automate manual processes to save time, reduce errors, and improve scalability.
Collaborate with product, operations, and distribution leaders to surface business gaps and propose data-driven solutions that unlock efficiency.
Identify enhancements to forms, product features, services, and policies that directly improve the advisor and client experience.
Strategic Research & Market Intelligence
Conduct sharp, timely benchmarking across peer products, pricing models, distribution strategies, and market positioning.
Track and analyze industry shifts, regulatory updates, and fintech innovations that inform Lending & Banking strategy.
Translate market trends into concrete product recommendations, partnering with internal stakeholders to evolve offerings and deploy new products to market.
Present and defend analysis for problem-solving with clarity and precision; always grounded in data and facts, always focused on client and business outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
5+ years of experience in data analytics, product management, financial services, banking, or wealth management
2+ years of experience with SQL/Python/Alteryx or similar data management tools
2+ years of experience utilizing visualization tools such as Tableau, MicroStrategy, Power BI, or similar Business Intelligence tools
3+ years’ experience with Excel, PowerPoint or other project management tools
Due to the nature of this position, as a part of our background check process, candidates must be able to pass a non-registered fingerprint background check to qualify as a fingerprinted person under FINRA

Strong quantitative orientation, analytical skills, a high level of intellectual curiosity, tolerance for ambiguity
A successful record of supporting product strategy and product execution professionals
Desire to learn and ability to apply learnings to business findings
Independently explore solutions to a problem and adapt quickly to changes
Collaboration skills and the ability to work in a team-based environment
Work and collaborate across multiple products within Lending and Banking Services organization in a team
Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to effectively and confidently interact with business and technical personnel, at all levels in the organization

Salary Range:
$113,100.00-$148,400.00At MassMutual, we focus on ensuring fair equitable pay, by providing competitive salaries, along with incentive and bonus opportunities for all employees. Your total compensation package includes either a bonus target or in a sales-focused role a Variable Incentive Compensation component.
