The Opportunity

MassMutual is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Law Department’s Variable Product SEC Filing Team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career to gain hands-on experience in regulatory compliance and financial services. You’ll support the production and delivery of disclosure documents for our variable annuity and variable life insurance products, while learning from a team of seasoned professionals in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. This role is a hybrid role (3 days/week in our Boston office) and reports into our Head of Variable Product SEC Filing.

The Team

The Variable Product SEC Filing Team is a vital part of MassMutual’s Insurance Product & Operations Law organization. We are a close-knit group of experienced specialists who thrive on collaboration and cross-functional partnerships. Our work directly supports MassMutual’s variable annuity and variable life products, ensuring regulatory excellence and operational integrity.

The Impact

As the Regulatory Product Filing Consultant your responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Produce regulatory documents for MassMutual’s Variable Products as required by the Securities and Exchange Commission.
  • Direct the disclosure delivery process by managing our financial print partners for all print, mail, e-delivery, web hosting, and warehousing of our regulatory documents.
  • Create and update product prospectuses utilizing a content management system, mapping common content for efficiency.
  • Incorporate recommended updates from legal counsel and subject matter experts for all Variable Product documents; liaise to obtain approval from internal certifiers and consents from independent auditors.
  • Draft supplement filings for our prospectuses, as required, for material changes to our products and/or underlying funds.

The Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 1+ years of professional experience in a corporate, financial services, or regulatory environment.

The Ideal Qualifications

  • Experience with print, mailings, and working with print vendors.
  • Familiarity with SEC filings.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to navigate and leverage resources across the enterprise and with our vendors with minimal oversight.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent problem resolution, including the ability to collaborate with peers and business partners.

Salary Range:

$70,900.00-$93,000.00
