The Opportunity

What success looks like.

  • Support the creation of DLP policy for protecting sensitive data. This includes testing and assuring new policies, agent deployments, new functionality prior to implementation, revise currently deployed policies to reduce false positives and help manage exceptions.
  • Support the development, enhancement, and maintenance of data security and protection platforms according to business need. This includes but is not limited to developing and maintaining systems, across multiple hardware and software platforms in a hybrid environment
  • Be an active participant in the evolution from rules & policies to event driven DLP.

The Team

As the digital world grows, so does the need to keep all of MassMutual’s data secure. The Cyber Data Security Engineering team is on the forefront of how we keep all our data safe. As part of this team, you will help choose, architect, implement, and maintain the right DLP\CASB solutions to maximize the effectiveness of deployed applications ensuring MassMutual is protected.

As a Cyber Data Protection Engineer, you will have responsibility for providing security technology across multiple business areas. You will be expected to contribute to initiatives across our Enterprise Cyber Security organization and work on priority-driven items which change based on need.

The Impact:

  • Support the translation of business requirements, specifications, and generalized needs into cybersecurity requirements
  • Provide security control enhancements recommendations based on regulatory and best practice procedures
  • Provide support solving issues in modern virtualized, on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments
  • Work in collaborative team environment utilizing Agile development methodologies and principles, mentoring teammates, and learning cross functional skills to support a range of technologies as a product offering
  • Support incident response activities in any environment (production, test, development, etc.).
  • Create, update or otherwise assist with program guidance, performance, control, engineering, documentation in a collaborative tool environment Confluence
  • Front line for maintenance and helpdesk support
  • Support other related tasks as necessary

The Minimum Qualifications

  • Associates degree or equivalent cyber certification(s)
  • 2+ years of related experience working in the IT industry

The Ideal Qualifications

  • Experience in financial services or consulting organizations preferred
  • CISSP, CISM or equivalent certification is a plus
  • Working knowledge of SQL and other Scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, etc.) a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Salary Range:

$86,200.00-$113,100.00
