The Opportunity

Join our dynamic team as a Business System Analyst, where you'll play a pivotal role in driving the execution of our technology strategy. This role is crucial in driving digital transformation and operational efficiency across financial systems that support Actuarial, FP&A, Reinsurance, Treasury, Accounting and Tax functions. You will serve as a key liaison between Finance, IT, and CFO specific business units to design, implement, and optimize financial technology solutions.

The Team

You'll be an integral part of our esteemed Corporate Technology Team, focused on Finance Technology. Our team operates on a global scale, driving innovation and excellence across diverse areas of expertise. As a Senior Business Systems Analyst, you'll play a pivotal role in high impact Corporate Technology Finance Initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and driving impactful outcomes. This is an opportunity to collaborate closely with our Corporate Technology leadership team as well as our CFO stakeholder. The Impact:

  • Partner with Finance, Accounting, Actuarial, Claims, and Reinsurance teams to gather and translate business requirements into system solutions.
  • Lead enhancements and implementations of insurance-specific financial platforms e.g., Anaplan, GGY Axis, Prophet, TAI, Kyriba and SAP related products.
  • Map business processes related to CFO functions
  • Conduct system impact assessments, data flow mapping, and process optimization initiatives.
  • Manage finance system integrations with policy administration systems.
  • Collaborate with CFO teams and data teams to improve financial modeling, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Develop and execute UAT plans, design end-user training, and provide post-implementation support.
  • Stay informed on insurance industry trends, financial regulatory changes, and system innovations.

The Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 8+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, with at least 3 years supporting Finance within the insurance industry.
  • 2+ years of experience in-depth knowledge of financial processes including Actuarial, FP&A, ALM, Reinsurance, Tax, and Financial Reporting.
  • 2+ years of proficiency in SQL and financial reporting tools e.g., Power BI, Tableau.
  • 1+ year of familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as NAIC, STAAT, GAAP

The Ideal Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or Actuarial Science
  • Proven track record of analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills with a proven ability to work across functional teams.
  • A solid understanding of Financial Accounting Systems and knowledge of accounting principles, reporting, and budgeting
  • Strong data analysis skills for extracting insights from financial data
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools and reporting software is also important.
  • Experience integrating financial systems with actuarial, policy administration, and claims platforms.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to influence and motivate teams without direct authority.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives.

Salary Range:

$113,100-$148,400
