The Opportunity

As a Teaming Platform Consultant, you will help advisors navigate MassMutual’s Teaming platform to grow and strengthen their businesses. Teaming is a powerful strategy for financial advisors to drive business success, and this role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on their journey to forming and developing healthy advisor teams. The Teaming platform offers a comprehensive mix of team-based compensation, recognition, and practice management support.

In this role, you will engage with financial advisors and agency leaders at an advanced consultative level to increase platform adoption and ongoing utilization. You will identify and implement enhancements to strengthen the platform and oversee an upcoming platform transformation. You will also be responsible for the ongoing management and administration of the platform.

While the Teaming platform is a successful, longstanding offering, it was recently integrated into the newly formed Practice Management team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment within a larger, established organization.

The Team

At MM Wealth Management, we understand that the financial landscape is constantly evolving. As a member of the Wealth Management organization, you will join a team of passionate experts across multiple disciplines including Product, Advice & Financial Planning, Practice Management, Lending & Banking, Trust, Investments and Operations. Whether it’s advice on investment strategies, retirement planning, estate planning, lending and banking, or trust services, our goal is to provide innovative and effective solutions that positively impact advisors and clients. We are committed to transforming the way our clients manage their wealth and plan for the future.

The Teaming platform is an integral Practice Management offering to support advisors operating in team-based business models. Our Practice Management team is expanding MassMutual’s business support and resources to help our affiliated financial advisors successfully grow and strengthen their businesses. Our objectives are to increase advisor growth, productivity, retention, and recruiting. The team supports advisors in all aspects of leading their businesses, including strategic planning, human capital, systemization, client value creation, business structures, financial management, organic growth, practice acquisitions, and succession.

The Impact:

  • Provide advanced consultation to help financial advisors adopt and navigate the teaming platform’s compensation programs (B/D grids, admin fees, Team AAA), contract requirements, recognition programs, and other team-based systems by assessing their objectives, analyzing financial scenarios, creatively solving challenges, and providing concrete recommendations

  • Manage the implementation of an upcoming platform transformation in collaboration with Program Manager

  • Assess mailbox inquiries to identify trends, training needs, and process improvements

  • Resolve escalated client service requests

  • Assess outcomes, usage, and ROI of all teaming programs and make recommendations for enhancements

  • Create and maintain all standard work, field training collateral and tools related to the Teaming platform

  • Lead agency Teaming Director onboarding, engagement, and development in partnership with Program Manager

  • Execute annual platform requirements (year-end process, team segmentation, company memos, annual indexing, systems project lead, etc.)

  • Act as subject matter expert for Teaming-related report development and enhancements within the distribution reporting platform.

  • Provide monthly and ad hoc performance reporting tied to Advisor Teaming and Practice Management.

  • Package production and book of business reports to support field engagements

  • Maintain special considerations log for audit purposes

  • Act as primary backup for all operational administration

The Minimum Qualifications
