As Principal continues to modernize, we are seeking a Data Analyst II to join our Data & Analytics Participant Marketing Team. In this role, you will drive the development of data solutions that influence business decisions and address key challenges. You’ll demonstrate your business and technical competence to uplift a new line of business for our department, deliver data-driven solutions, and collaborate closely with partners to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivery Expertise: Build and maintain metrics, reports, and dashboards (e.g., Power BI) to support key business decisions. Create visualizations to scale operations and measure success.
  • Manages Complexity: Making sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems
  • Cultivates Innovation: Creating new and better ways to lead the business toward success
  • Nimble Learner: Actively seeking opportunities to learn via experimentation using both successes and failures to build future skills

Who You Are



  • Bachelor Degree in a Business or Technical field plus 2-3 years of related analytics, consulting, project management, or equivalent experience preferred
  • Business intelligence applications and/or cloud services (e.g., Alteryx, Domo, Looker, PowerBI, Qlik, Tableau, SiSense).
  • No/Low code ETL and Orchestration platforms such as AWS Glue DataBrew or SAS.
  • Data querying, transformation, and processing languages such as SQL, Python, Power BI DAX/M Query, or SAS.
  • Operational, enterprise, and analytical relational/non-relational data stores such as PaaS cloud technologies, SQL Server, Oracle, and DB2.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms and surrounding ecosystems (AWS, Azure).

Salary Range Information



Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.

Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)



$70000 - $94000 / year

Time Off Program



Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.

Work Environment

This role offers in-office, hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek), and remote work arrangements (only if residing more than 30 miles from Des Moines, IA, Raleigh, NC or Charlotte, NC). You’ll work with your leader to figure out which option may align best based on several factors.
