SREIM is a multifamily servicing business line that manages a rent-controlled/rent-stabilized multifamily portfolio. The role will support the three objectives of the business line: (i) Preserving and maintaining availability of affordable multifamily housing, (ii) Servicing the Assets in accordance with the terms of the servicing agreements and standards, and (iii) Prudently enhancing credit structures and actively working with clients to maximize recovery potential of all Assets.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures business line compliance with all FDIC operational obligations and establish controls and quality tests as necessary.
  • Leads and participates in credit risk reviews of the Commercial, Real Estate, and Workout portfolios and contributes to the preparation of the review summary, findings, observations, and recommendations.
  • Monitors performance of the Commercial, Real Estate, and Workout portfolios through a broad spectrum of continuous monitoring activities to identify emerging trends and risks.
  • Assesses and monitors: (i) Asset quality, status, and compliance with established underwriting policies and risk tolerance standards; (ii) Effectiveness of portfolio management and credit monitoring functions; (iii) Credit risks related to new products and business initiatives.
  • Ensures appropriate and timely assignment of risk ratings, support for risk rating upgrade/downgrade recommendations, and identification and management of deteriorating credits.
  • Reviews required documentation for loan review testing, inclusive of conducting credit file reviews and completing necessary line sheets.
  • Tracks and manages recommendations issued from prior reviews and regulatory recommendations; performs validation of completed remediation(s).
  • Tracks and/or manages of one or multiple business line initiatives; Coordinates executive-level strategy and transformation updates.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Banking, Risk Management or equivalent field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 8+ years of banking experience, preferably concentrated in Commercial Real Estate Credit Loan Review, Credit Risk Management or other Commercial and/or Real Estate Credit Risk functions; specific subject matter expertise in Workout credit management strongly desired.
  • Advanced understanding of the regulatory environment and how the risks of banking products and services are viewed by the Second Line of Defense and regulators.
  • Specific experience in Workout or review of Classified Assets is a plus.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) skills; proficiency with data analytics and business intelligence tools is a plus.
  • Analytical and detail oriented, with ability to think critically and manage multiple small- to medium-sized projects simultaneously in a timely manner with limited supervision.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to complete multiple projects simultaneously and in a timely manner.
  • Project management skills and ability to direct others when leading an assignment.
  • Ability to lead a team of reviewers and/or act as Examiner in Charge for reviews.
  • Ability to effectively interact and communicate with business line and credit risk personnel across the organization through strong written and verbal communication skills; communicate in a timely and straightforward manner.
  • Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment, build effective business partnerships with all levels of tam members, and resolve conflicts as needed.

Working Conditions

Frequent Minimal physical effort such as sitting, standing and walking. Occasional moving and lifting equipment and furniture is required to support onsite and offsite meeting setup and teardown. Physically capable of lifting up to fifty pounds, able to bend, kneel, climb ladders.

The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.

Salary: $108,000 - $155,000/year
