Infrastructure Operations (a/k/a Application, Infrastructure & Service Management)(multiple positions)(State Street Bank and Trust Company; Boston, MA): Will use analytical skills and a detailed understanding of the IT lifecycle to contribute to the Company’s efforts to enhance the resiliency of its IT systems. Will work within the IT Infrastructure organization to help deliver organizational lifecycle goals. Will upgrade or migrate servers to newer versions while following standard protocols and processes and adhering to State Street IT lifecycle methodology. Will be expected to effectively deliver and execute technical projects across multiple engagements. Specific duties of the position include: Performing in a high-tech customer-facing role, with responsibilities encompassing Professional Services, Solution Architecture, Systems Administration, Engineering, and Consulting; providing senior-level operational support and implementation of large-scale, enterprise-level solutions, including making decisions and solving problems, utilizing advanced knowledge of the fundamentals of configuration of applications and server migrations; designing infrastructure and completing integration into new and existing sever systems; effectively delivering and executing technical projects across multiple engagements in a customer-facing capacity; supporting various configurations using Always On, Mirrors, and related technologies; and working on ticketing systems, including creating, updating, and closing tickets. Full-time Telecommuting permitted pursuant to company policy.

Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or its equivalent, in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field, plus 7 years of hands-on experience in any occupation involving Server migrations. Alternatively, employer will accept a Master’s degree, or its equivalent, in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field, plus 5 years of hands-on experience in any occupation involving server migrations.

Total experience above must include 5 years of experience in a high-tech customer facing role. Must also have the following demonstrated ability: Proven in-depth knowledge of RHEL, Solaris and AIX operating systems administration; demonstrated experience in building new servers on HP ProLiant, T7 Hardware with RHEL and Solaris OS; proven in-depth knowledge RHEL 6/7 and 8 versions, Solaris 10 and 11 installation and configuration; proven in-depth knowledge with Veritas cluster , Veritas volume manager and Volume replicator; proven in-depth knowledge with Storage technologies to configure Luns and create file systems; proven in-depth knowledge with Networking and firewall to be able to identify issues and resolve them; demonstrated experience with infrastructure and database theories, principles and concepts, application infrastructure and standards, networking fundamentals, physical server architecture, and virtualization technologies (including VMware, Hyper-V and LAN/WAN/Firewall/VPN networks); demonstrated solid ability in Shell scripting and Powershell scripting; demonstrated understanding of WAN/LAN concepts and the TCP/IP protocol stack; strong customer service skills, both written and verbal; demonstrated experience with one or more cloud providers such as AWS, Azure and Google Cloud Platform; and experience working with Autosys, Splunk, Dynatrace tools. All experience can be gained concurrently.)

Salary Range:

$139,901 - $190,000 Annual
