The State Street Alpha Professional Services Team is looking for a deeply qualified individual to lead our Strategy and Transformation initiatives. This individual must bring strong experience in management, analysis, workflow design, data analysis, system flows and business architecture in order to create client solutions and execute implementation of the industry’s first ever front-to-back client servicing platform. The successful candidate must be skilled in managing multi-year programs consisting of complex business models and flows across front, middle, and back office operating models in both an insourced and outsourced model. The successful candidate must have excellent verbal, written and presentation skills, and understand global portfolio management, trading and compliance across asset classes. This position will have interaction with, and exposure to, the highest levels of executive management within State Street and within our clients’ organizations.

The Alpha Professional Services team in Boston, MA is looking for a qualified individual to lead our initiatives associated with Strategy & Transformation across multiple disciplines, technologies, and regions.
Primary Responsibilities:
•This client facing role will be responsible for defining and implementing test strategy and a multi-year transformation approach across a global portfolio of programs that design solutions and onboard new clients onto State Street’s front-to-back platform
•Define and implement testing approaches, test execution standards, and consistent test documentation; work to sync strategies with those of our clients throughout the implementation cycle
•Select and implement automation tools, partners, and processes to dramatically reduce test phase timelines and complexity; define data and environment requirements to reduce test resources and cost
•Manage, directly and indirectly, a global team of employees and contractors who validate workflow analysis, data analysis, requirements analysis for current and future state models and architecture while maintaining and enforcing global standards
•Manage creation and delivery of internal and client facing documents (client proposals, playbooks, test automation, test plans)
•Navigate complex client relationships, build strong business relationships, and manage expectations with client stakeholders
•Participate in various stages of the transformation lifecycle to strengthen test processes, procedures, and standards
•Provide regular status updates and supporting reports as needed
Qualifications:
State Street considers all disciplines when hiring for a job and seeks out candidates who demonstrate the following:
•Bachelor’s degree or above. 15+ years of financial industry experience across front office functionality along with middle (IBOR) and back office systems, services and data domains.
•Experience with large-scale transformation initiatives; demonstrated success in driving change for operating models, staffing decisions, and automated tools
•Experience influencing organizational change in a large company, government agency, or non-profit; demonstrated success in changing organizational behaviors
•Deep background in test strategies, planning and executing various client and internal test phases, and hands-on test execution leveraging teams across the globe
•Experience integrating with industry providers to promote platform interoperability (e.g., Deliotte, Accenture, PWC, Bloomberg PORT, Charles River Development, BRS Aladdin, SimCorp Dimension, Factset, Fidessa Minerva, Eze Software)
•Deep client and State Street executive engagement and expectation management across multiple global transformation initiatives
•Strong interest in global capital markets and quantitative investments
•Strong analytical, reconcilement and organizational skills
•Ability to work in a fast-paced, globally structured, and team-based environment, as well as work independently
•Experience in Agile Methodology and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Rally, RTC) preferred
•Electronic trading platforms experience is useful but not essential
•Experience in portfolio management theory and application is useful but not essential
Salary Range:
$170,000 - $267,500 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
