Alpha Services Business Analyst - Corporate Action / Officer

We are seeking a Business Analyst, Officer, with exceptional critical thinking and analytical skills, and ability to collaborate across functional areas and organizational hierarchies to support Alpha product management efforts and related planning. We are now positioned to take advantage of the data infrastructure that has been delivered to expand into additional client segments. The Alpha Services Architecture team is recruiting for an exciting role to develop and deliver the products

that constitute the Alpha ecosystem as well as the client segments that we serve. This role, will assist in managing the products and initiatives working directly with Product Management, Implementation, and Technology organizations across State Street. The successful candidate must be proactive by nature, skilled in analyzing complex business concepts,

eager to tackle and drive new efforts and resourceful at gathering and organizing information. The required qualities include creativity, excellent verbal, written and presentation skills, as well as the ability to

manage multiple streams of deliverables among shifting priorities. An understanding of State Street’s

internal business units and service/product offering is a plus. The position is located in Boston, Massachusetts.

What you will be responsible for

This role will be responsible for executing on the goals and objectives of the Alpha Services Architecture

Team, which include, but may expand beyond, the following responsibilities:

  • Support Alpha Transformation initiatives through detailed requirements analysis
  • Gathering of business/system requirements by facilitating user/client meetings, interviewing users and other subject matter experts
  • Work directly with Clients, IT and Management to deliver analysis on transformative projects
  • Work with our business partners, perform/lead initial analysis of the request and provide assessment and gather estimation of the effort
  • Identify, compile, analyze and document business requirements that accurately and thoroughly reflect business needs.
  • Support ongoing project management- including progress monitoring, reporting and quality assurance throughout the project
  • Document business requirements using clear, concise language consistent with the methodology framework.
  • Acts as a liaison between users/client, developers, testers, and implementation specialists.
  • Participate in special projects, e.g., conducting research, collecting and providing requested data, etc.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum BS/BA degree in Technology, Finance, Business or Equivalent. 5-7 Years industry experience with Front, Middle and Back Office Functionality.
  • Strong knowledge of State Street organizational constructs and teams required.
  • Minimum 5-7 experience in Corporate Action experience in the Middle or Back Office operations groups.
  • Strong communication (Verbal and Written), analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to influence and work collaboratively across multiple organizations to reach common goals.
  • Familiar with Agile Methodology and tools.
  • Experience with Business Process Management (BPM) concepts and tools (Kryon+ARIS).
  • Strong Experience with Microsoft Office tools Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio is required.

Salary Range:

$90,000 - $142,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
