Our projects typically help State Street mitigate risk, meet regulatory requirements, or enable our internal clients to optimize business processes.
The LCARS PMO is seeking candidates for a Business Systems Analyst position. This role will report to the Head of the LCARS PMO and support and manage primarily business-focused initiatives that may include the implementation of new technology. The candidate selected for this role will have demonstrable experience with business and systems analysis and full project lifecycle experience. Your responsibilities will include project analysis for small to medium sized projects, or a component of a larger project, from initiation through implementation. Deliverables in your scope may include requirements and design documentation, user acceptance testing facilitation, training and implementation roll-out strategy and plans.
This role is for someone who has excellent business and systems analytical and problem-solving skills, is naturally curious and inquisitive, is a great communicator, has a team player frame of mind, and is flexible and adaptable to evolving needs.
Role requires four days in office (Mon – Thurs).
Principal Responsibilities
Drive analysis of PMO projects including analysis of current processes and recommend solutions and improvements; assess impact of system changes to business processes; participate in data migrations as needed, own data mapping and data analysis.
Create thorough and concise business and functional requirements; actively participate in and /or drive design sessions; produce test scripts and lead facilitation of user acceptance testing; devise and action on training strategies to support a global workforce; partner with others to prepare implementation and change management plans.
Participate in the development and maintenance of detailed end-to-end project plans.
Leads project teams with various geographies and functions, without a direct reporting relationship.
Under supervision, plans, organizes, and oversees related activities of cross-functional project teams and stakeholders including IT.
Sets and continually manages project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
Coordinates communication with project team concerning project status and issues, including formal management reporting.
Clearly and articulately conveys project constraints, risks, and plans to all audience levels.
Demonstrates an understanding of the impact of problems across the organization and facilitates collaborative solutions.
Adheres to best practice methodology standards across a variety of projects and provides input to foster continuous improvement of PMO best practices.
Performs other tasks, as assigned.
Required Skills and Competencies:
Excellent business and system analysis and project management skills; effective at managing small to medium projects and associated resources throughout a project development lifecycle.
Proven superior analytical and problem-solving skills including application of critical thinking to make decisions and solve problems using inclusive reasoning and judgement; comfortable with proposing alternatives that challenge the status quo yet keeping a business results orientation mindset.
Ability to distill current business and technical processes to create accurate process flow diagrams, specifically to support the transition of manual to automated processes.
Exceptional attention to detail and desire to deliver superior quality services.
Ability to conduct research on systems, tools, or technologies on the market related to our department and provide clear and concise information and recommendations.
Strong interpersonal, facilitation, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, at all levels throughout an organization.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders.
Effective at managing conflict and influencing others for results.
Excellent time and prioritization management skills with ability to deliver on commitments.
Experience with risk and change management.
Qualifications
BS/BA degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field.
7 or more years of financial services experience, preferably in a large, global institution.
4-5 plus years of Business and IT Systems Analysis experience in the financial services industry.
Experience with project management and analyst tools and techniques; proven ability to create and maintain clear and concise project documentation in line with PMO methodology.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products particularly Project, Visio, Word, and Excel; hands-on experience with Pivot tables and VLOOKUP necessary; experience with macros and SQL.
Background in software implementation; including integrations with third party vendors; experience with sFTP and API’s required.
PMP or PMI-PBA, or other applicable analyst certification desired.

Salary Range:
$80,000 - $132,500 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
