The qualified candidate will support ERM-Credit Risk in the daily approval, escalation and reporting of daylight and end-of-day overdrafts for the firms custody clients. The individual will work directly with Global Delivery-RMCOE to ensure suspended transactions are reviewed and approved or declined as needed prior to settlement deadlines and work with custody business units to best understand the issues and coverage plan
- Support State Street’s institutional clients by reviewing and authorizing (or declining) cash, fx and securities settlement transactions which exceed established guidelines
- Ensure that risk is managed as efficiently and automatically as possible by means of a thorough understanding of flows, client types and structure
- Provide oversight of intra-day overdrafts, analysis of counterparty creditworthiness, method of coverage and history for custody clients
- Assist management in projects relating to overdraft reporting and payment system risk initiatives
- Create daily/weekly/monthly overdraft for senior management and regulators
- Work with other areas of Credit Risk to stay informed of market conditions and industry trends to anticipate credit deterioration and recommend corrective courses of action, as needed
- Alert senior management of risk appetite breaches and potential credit concerns/trends to assist in dealing with multiple regulatory agencies
- Partner with Credit Risk colleagues in the design and testing of the newly developed overdraft approval platform which is part of the Payment Cash and Custody (PCC) program
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Global Service custody or credit risk management experience
- Ability to make decisions in a deadline sensitive environment while demonstrating exceptional attention to detail to ensure zero losses
- Strong organizational skills
- Project management/presentation experience
- Availability to support approvals during Fedwire Payment system hours of operations as well as Non-USD payments on US Holidays
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in finance or related field
Salary Range:
$70,000 - $115,000 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
