What we are looking for

Charles River Development, A State Street company, is looking for an experienced Head of Product Readiness to lead the CRD product side of major client onboarding initiatives. The role will require engaging multiple teams internally, coordinating with supporting vendors and facing off with the clients to manage the deliverables.

What you are responsible for:

There are three major pillars to our Product Readiness Strategy:

Platform Governance, E2E Readiness and Project Governance

Platform Governance

  • Direct and manage process and structure of product delivery including Jira approach, usage and management
  • Build, organize and manage Capacity planning and tracking of overall product portfolio. Plan and build resource capacity and prioritization process including engineering resources to deliver planned product roadmap.
  • Change management
    • Manage Change management process
    • Build and assist with Change process across Alpha
  • Delivery management
    • Run Process for intaking new gap delivery and coordination between teams
    • Build process for gap coordination between Alpha and CRD
  • Product oversite on large engagements/deliveries
  • Drive technical approach to ensure meeting definition of good
  • Assist with Coordination across client engagements and projects working directly with PS and Engineering teams
  • Manage delivery of critical communication and materials needed for effective updates for both internal and external audience including:
    • Executive updates
    • sales presentations
    • Client meeting Townhalls
    • Product specific presentations
    • Product dashboards
    • Product Townhall and all-hands
  • Assist with production of delivery roadmaps and tracking the % of planned delivery.

Project Governance and Delivery

  • Lead product engagement with larger client implementations including sales, implementation and hyper care period in production
  • Manage teams responsible for driving delivery of product commitments
  • Work directly with product leads, PS leads and engineering leads to ensure delivery timelines are understood and being met
  • Build and drive weekly status reports internally and to the clients
  • Lead build sessions with product to review gap delivery
  • Assist with getting required SDDs completed
  • Interface directly with clients on engagements. Work to manage expectations.
  • Assist with driving defect management and work with release teams to align with version, patches or hot fixes
  • Work with PS leads on aligning with their plans and ensuring necessary Product tasks are accounted for.
  • Escalate issues to senior leadership and organize remediation from projects

o Testing validation

o SLA adherence

o Batch certification

· Organizational Readiness

o Systems & Application Readiness

o Overall Support Model

o Client Requirements

o Communications and Cutover Activities.

E2E Readiness

  • Lead workstreams focused on E2E integrity
    • E2E testing: environments, adherence, alignment with Alpha
    • Establish E2E standardization of processes
    • Define target operating model
    • Build Jira reporting to enable seamless reporting to clients across the organization
  • Customizations
    • Establish E2E organizational model and manage the on going requirements
    • Evolve the customization process to leverage SDLC and stabilize the platform
    • Define productization opportunities for customizations

Education and Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 12+ years financial services experience
  • Proven institutional investment operations depth with subject matter expertise in one or more of the following core areas: transaction management, reconciliations, corporate actions, performance measurement and attribution, derivatives, bank loans and collateral management
  • Process re-engineering certifications and experience (Lean, Six Sigma Black Belt)
  • Professional consulting experience is a plus
  • Proven leadership and program management skills
  • Proven strong communication, interpersonal, decision-making and negotiation skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively on global scale with all levels of management
  • Ability to influence and work collaboratively across multiple (matrixed) organizations to reach common goals
  • Organized with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • PMO Certified a plus but not required

Salary Range:

$170,000 - $267,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
