The Asset Stewardship Team is responsible for developing and implementing the firm’s proxy voting and engagement policy, managing issuer engagement, and undertaking research and analysis of governance and sustainability related issues.
This role requires significant cross-organizational teamwork to:
centralize, maintain and develop the RFP & DDQ process (including client requests) concerning our asset stewardship capabilities take responsibility for meeting internal expectations around reporting on stewardship, build relationships with key internal stakeholders: RFP teams, investment, operational, and client-facing teams to ensure understanding of client expectations/market developments and help senior team members in presenting our views on asset stewardship externally to clients and market participants.
This role will be based in Boston or London and report to the Head of Stewardship Strategy.
Key responsibilities:
- Responsible for delivery of high-quality stewardship request for proposals (RFPs) and due diligence questionnaires (DDQs) to clients.
- Work with senior members of the Asset Stewardship Team, investment, operational, and client reporting teams to manage client reporting process.
- Updating and maintaining stewardship content on our internal RFP database.
- Proactively refresh stewardship materials to reflect changes in policies and positions.
- Analyze and manage proxy voting and engagement data for reporting purposes.
- Assist in the preparation of effective slide decks for client presentations.
- Collaborate with stewardship team to produce quarterly, annual and ad-hoc reporting on stewardship activities.
- Facilitate the publication of vote bulletins, case studies, and other thought leadership pieces.
- Participate in virtual and in person meetings with clients.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of relevant experience. Interest and/or experience working with stewardship related matters is preferred.
- Strong understanding of stewardship activities and value-oriented narratives
- Exceptionally strong written and verbal communications skills with an engaging personality
- Ability to present information in an organized and clear fashion
- Strong interpersonal skills with comfort working independently and within a team setting
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment, demonstrating initiative and the ability to prioritize workloads
- Candidates must be detail oriented
- College degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. business, economics or finance) and/or CFA designation (or willingness to pursue these designations) would be beneficial.

Salary Range:
$90,000 - $142,500 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
