Who we are looking for

We are looking for a strong engineer to join our Market Reference Data team.

Due to the role requirements this job needs to be performed primarily in the office with some flex work opportunities available.

What you will be responsible for

As Application Developer, Assistant Vice President, you will

  • Actively participate in data modeling and design decision making.
  • Document and update requirements
  • Gather detail requirements and verify with team that requirements completely define the project
  • Support business/functional requirement review, approval, and sign-off sessions
  • Support communication activities with end-user training for system implementation
  • Diagnose, debug, and correct problems in live infrastructure, some of which supports our production clients.
  • Work with other members of your team to investigate feature requests, perform detailed analysis and create specifications (where required), implement, and test new functionality.
  • Support a follow-the-sun operations approach working with colleagues across three continents.
  • Interact with your peers across the transformation effort across all teams to ensure that best practices are followed throughout the organization.
  • Leverage frameworks, tools & automation to ensure quality software deliveries.

What we value

These skills will help you succeed in this role

  • Full Stack Application Development using Java, JEE, JavaScript frameworks (NodeJS/ReactJS/Angular) High scalability projects involving cloud-based infrastructure design and implementation
  • Good understanding of Web Services protocols such as REST and API design for extensibility and portability
  • Experience debugging distributed systems with high data loads
  • Solid understanding of the Software as a Service (SaaS) model in the online environment
  • Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies
  • Experience writing SQL queries/Stored Procedures for Oracle SQL or any another Relational Database
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and toolsets
  • Good working knowledge of financial systems and market reference data.
  • Have the ability to communicate effectively in English both writing and speaking, and the ability to communicate technical subjects effectively through diagramming.

  • Penchant to learn about new technology innovation and creativity in applying to business problems.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 8 years of engineering experience.

Salary Range:

$90,000 - $142,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
