Who we are looking for
State Street is looking for an experienced IT Business Analyst to join Prime Services Equity Swap Technology team in Boston, Massachusetts to closely collaborate with our business partners across project workstreams. The Prime Services Equity Swap team is responsible for data integration with up- and downstream system applications including: swap trading and hedge book management. The role requires System Analyst to work in a collaborative, team-driven environment to implement a front-to-back platform solution and design. The candidate should have product level knowledge of Total Return/Portfolio Swaps.
Due to the role requirements this job needs to be performed primarily in the office with some flex work opportunities available.
What you will be responsible for
As a Business Systems Analyst, you will:
- Partner with internal business users to analyze platform requirement and prioritize demand
- Work with agile development teams to build application services for equity swap trading, settlement, and reporting
- Prepare comprehensive documentation, including functional specification, user stories, wireframes, traceability matrices, user guides and training materials
- Identify, solve or escalate potential issues and risks during development life cycles
- Collaborate with other roles/teams to deliver consistent and timely results with high quality;
- Establish and maintain strong network relationships with internal/external counterparties;
- Organize and drive meetings. Participate in agile development team as the Product Owner/Business Analyst
What we value

- Knowledgeable in Total Return Swaps, Portfolio Swaps, and/or Synthetic Prime Business.
- Understanding of Swaps Trading Lifecyle and Regulatory Requirements
- Experience with a core Equity Swaps platforms, Swap One, Murex, NuvoPrime preferred.
- Hands-on with producing Business Analysis Artifacts, including BRD, Functional Flows , test cases.
- Experience working with all stakeholders in Front Office, Middle Office and Operations.
- Experienced working on Trading System project implementation and all its major milestones including Analysis, Development, Testing and Release.
Education & Preferred Qualifications
- Effective interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
- Understanding of the development process/cycle.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to navigate JIRA and Confluence docs.
- Strong proficiency in SQL for data analysis and reporting.
- 10+ years of experience required
Additional requirements (Good to have)
- Participation in agile development working model.
- CFA certified

Salary Range:
$100,000 - $167,500 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
