Software Engineering & Development (State Street Bank and Trust Company; Boston, MA): Will work with other software developers on the team to perform the Software Development Life Cycle ("SDLC") process, which includes requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, deploying, and maintaining software. Will leverage functional knowledge and technical experience with Temenos Transact T24 platform, leveraging relevant experience with Banking Platform and Temenos product. Specific responsibilities include: develop and direct software system testing or validation procedures, programming, or documentation; coordinate installation of software system; determine system performance standards; modify existing software to correct errors, adapt it to new hardware, or upgrade interfaces and improve performance; translating requirements and ideas into proper functional and technical design documents; leveraging experience with Unix/Linux/Windows Server; applying knowledge of JBOSS/WebSphere AppServer or similar application servers; applying knowledge of the following high-level programming languages: C# or Java, Shell/Perl/Python, SQL; analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan installation of a new system or modification of an existing system; analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints; confer with systems analysts, engineers, programmers and others to design systems and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces; consult with customers or other departments on project status, proposals, or technical issues, such as software system design or maintenance; obtain and evaluate information on factors, such as reporting formats required, costs, or security needs to determine hardware configuration; store, retrieve, and manipulate data for analysis of system capabilities and requirements; supervise and assign work to programmers, designers, technologists, technicians, or other engineering or scientific personnel; and willing to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as the job demands. Full time telecommuting from within the U.S. permitted pursuant to Company policy.
Minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent degree in Computer Science or a related field; plus 7 years in any occupation/ role providing relevant experience in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
Must have: proven knowledge and technical experience with Temenos Transact T24 platform; proven ability translating requirements and ideas into proper functional and technical design documents; proven ability to take action in difficult and challenging situations and deal with uncertainty; demonstrated experience in Unix/Linux/Windows Server; demonstrated experience with JBOSS/WebSphere AppServer or similar application servers; proven knowledge of the following high-level programming languages: C# or Java, Shell/Perl/Python, SQL; demonstrated excellent algorithmic skills and problem solving capabilities; demonstrated ability to work independently on tasks; demonstrated ability to be analytical and overly detail oriented when dealing with technical support issues and IT projects; demonstrated ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities; demonstrated solid interpersonal skills; and proven excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills. Salary Range:
$172,744 - $210,000 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
