Who we are looking for

The Marketing Manager sits within the Global Marketing team and supports the development and execution of global marketing and communication activities for State Street’s new front-to-back platform, State Street Alpha®. State Street Alpha helps our clients manage all of their investment products and business lines in one place. With easy access to aggregated data, analytics and real-time insights, clients can collaborate with confidence, work faster and make better decisions.

As a successful candidate for this full-time role, you will help define the objectives of marketing activities and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle. You may also be asked to make recommendations for improvements to our marketing approach, processes and procedures to further enhance our strategy.

What you will be responsible for

As Marketing Manager you will

  • Work with the wider marketing team members and business unit/sales teams to assist in defining marketing objectives and plans; this will focus on the new category of front-to-back office servicing, interoperability and straight-through processing
  • Directly responsible for ensuring those plans are executed on by the broader team within specified timeframes
  • Manage the efforts of marketing team members and, if necessary, third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver the projects according to plan
  • Draft and submit budget proposals, accruals and recommend changes where necessary
  • Create and manage a campaign calendar/ media schedule with daily monitoring and optimization of campaigns

  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Demonstrated accuracy and high attention to detail
  • Experience in writing and editing copy (not essential, but a plus)
  • Experience with Adobe Suite is a plus (not essential, but a plus)

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • 7-9 years relevant marketing and communications experience, preferably in a financial services organization
  • A degree-level education
  • Excellent in verbal and written communications and knowledge of communications best practices
  • Experience managing marketing projects: online communications, events, brand/advertising, editorial, partnerships/sponsorships. This entails a good understanding of all marketing channels, including interactive and social media
  • Working and communicating with senior levels in an organization together
  • Working in matrix structures and cross cultural environments with an ability to operate on their own, as part of a team and globally
  • Ensuring that the highest level of the integrity and ethical behavior is continuously adhered to
  • Flexible hours may be required to manage projects across regions / time zones

Salary Range:

$80,000 - $132,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
