The ideal candidate for this role is responsible for Application Performance monitoring and Telemetry Event Management. In this role, you'll help drive the short and long term operational strategy. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining relationships across engineering, architecture, application and infrastructure reliability and collaborating with both technical and non-technical cross-functional partners.
The candidate must be a self-motivated individual with cross functional knowledge in software development, monitoring and maintenance.
Due to the role requirements this job needs to be performed in the office with some flex/hybrid work opportunities available.
What you will be responsible for
As Application Performance Monitoring and Event Management Lead you will:
- Ensure Dynatrace platform is optimized and operating within SLI and SLO's
- Lead team to configure monitoring/alerting/reporting for related to process and metrics using tools like Dynatrace, and Grafana.
- Integration of Dynatrace with Splunk for event correlation and Service Now for incident notification.
- Lead Event Management function to cater situation alerting, error code assignment and Service Now ticketing for events from SNMP event sources and other monitoring tools.
- Make technical recommendations on monitoring improvements (by creates Technical PoCs to demonstrate performance improvements), and partner with Engineering team on new standards for process, business events, and tags
- Analyze data for anomalies and trends, and build relevant dashboards/alerts that improve visibility.
- Works closely with platform engineering, platform architecture and application development teams for Datacenter migrations, Application migration to Cloud.

- Must have working experience in managing Dynatrace Managed cluster, building Dynatrace dashboards or Grafana, AWS and Azure
- In-depth experience installing, configuring, maintaining Dynatrace OneAgent, Dynatrace ActiveGates, Environmental ActiveGates.
- Experience with Dynatrace Managed cluster administration, including installation, configuration, monitoring system performance and availability, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
- Proficient in Unix/Linux command line or Windows batch scripting.
- Strong problem-solving skills; able to operate at both strategic vision and tactical execution level
- Ability to communicate complex and innovative concepts with proven experience driving decision making across different stakeholder groups
- Ability to create and facilitate formal presentations and demos to stakeholders
Education & Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years of experience working in Dynatrace or Application Performance Monitoring tool, Infrastructure performance monitoring, Event Management.
- 8+ years of Application/Infrastructure monitoring support, application performance management & tuning is required
- Strong practical understanding of core technologies (Linux, Unix, windows OS, Cloud, Storage, Compute, Networking, IaaS, PaaS, automation, VMWare, Storage) and their associated governance, lifecycle management, and delivery
- Familiar with Multi-Cloud technologies like Azure, AWS; virtual services such as SaaS, PaaS and IaaS
- Working experience as System Administrator or experience with Oracle, Microsoft SQL database, and Python Scripting is a plus.

Salary Range:
$120,000 - $187,500 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
