A Senior Credit Analyst to join SSGA’s Fixed Income team with experience in credit, high yield and/ or leveraged loan credit research. SSGA’s Fixed Income team manages over $38B in capital across multiple high yield and broadly syndicated loan credit portfolios.

As Senior Credit Analyst you will:

  • Monitor credits across several industries making buy/sell recommendations based on fundamental credit research on bond and loan issuers
  • Analyze new investment opportunities, write investment opinions, and build financial models within a collaborative environment
  • Publish ad hoc reports based on current market events
  • Collaborate with portfolio managers on portfolio construction
  • Monitor credit risk, identify deteriorating credits and avoid downgrades and credit losses with the potential to represent the funds in work-outs and restructurings

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with internal risk team
  • Analytical skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree; MBA and/or CFA preferred
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience
  • Previous buy-side leveraged loan or high yield experience
  • Substantial Financial Services industry sector knowledge
  • Strong financial modeling skills
  • Python experience preferred
  • Strong MS Excel skills

Salary Range:

$120,000 - $187,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
