Who we are looking for

In this role, you will join the Custody Tax Operations team to work with State Street individuals from around the globe to support premier investment management and asset owner clients. You will have responsibility to contribute to day-to-day tax Operations in a fast-paced, flexible and exciting environment.

Why this role is important to us

You will assisting in maintaining tax efficiency of clients’ investments around the globe. This includes working to obtain relief at source from withholding tax, filing tax reclaims in order to realize refunds post-payable, and withholding and remittance of tax to various tax authorities around the globe.

What you will be responsible for

As Summer Intern you will

  • Prepares, completes, and reviews standard tax forms and applications

  • Performs transaction processing tasks within the business unit as necessary to support processing routines.

  • Consults with peers to optimize the operating model.

  • Working knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office applications, knowledge of tax documentation a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Management.

  • Strong financial accounting knowledge and proficiency.

  • Knowledge of Domestic and International tax laws, application of withholding tax on non-residents, , Custody/Accounting systems, Investment Operations, etc.

Salary Range:

$15,600 - $58,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
