Operational Risk and Compliance Analyst

State Street’s Global Credit Finance (GCF) division has established an Operational Risk and Compliance function which adds value to the business in the identification, assessment, and mitigation of risk. The function provides oversight of the business’ compliance with corporate and unit policies and procedures, while focusing on the risk excellence objectives established by business leadership. This position is well suited for an action-oriented individual with experience in business process analysis, managing multiple priorities, and who has a strong interest in building their risk and compliance knowledge.

What you will be responsible for
As Operational Risk and Compliance Analyst you will
- Support audit coordination activities by maintaining documentation of businesses examinations; analyze ongoing upcoming reviews to avoid overlap and verify appropriate risks are being tested
- Participate in risk management programs including product risk assessments (RCSA, MRI), issue and incident management and remediation, and key risk indicator reporting
- Provide support to business change initiatives and any related remediation of control gaps and deficiencies
- Work with Global Credit Finance teams, the Business Risk function, and well as second and third lines of defense to identify process/control gaps
- Facilitate operational issue remediation and promote compliance with regulations and corporate policies and standards
- Participate in the assessment, implementation, and adherence to policies, procedures and guidelines prescribed by corporate functions and business partners such as Compliance, Enterprise Risk Management, Corporate Information Security, etc.
- Take initiative to lead targeted projects to assess risk and control deficiencies as needed

Education & Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- 3-5 years of experience in risk, compliance, audit or related Governance role(s) within the financial services industry
- Proactive, adaptable and self-motivated
- Experience with MS Office, SharePoint, and Teams

Salary Range:
$60,000 - $90,000 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
