Who we are looking for

We are looking for an experienced professional that will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and managing the daily workflow of one or more client relationships. In addition, we are looking for someone who can maintain strong client relationships, evaluate and recommend process improvements resulting in increased efficiency and improved client service. The qualified candidate will also be responsible for preparing/reviewing Treasury Services tasks associated with client deliverables related to Expense Administration, Distributions, Performance and Regulatory/Board Reporting within the Treasury Services group in State Street’s Private Markets Global Delivery division in Boston, MA. The preferred candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience with a focus in Treasury Services work of 4-6 years of related experience.

The team you will be joining is a part of State Street Global Delivery Operations team within the Private Markets division. State Street Private Markets provides fund accounting, administration, tax, compliance, custody, treasury and middle office trade support services to hedge fund, private credit, private equity and real assets managers. Alternative Investment Services (AIS) combines its experienced teams of trained financial service professionals with sophisticated software development talent to create a superior trade support infrastructure that features Straight-Through-Processing (STP) and real-time information. We are looking for a qualified candidate interested in growing their acumen for complex financial products while working in support of large alternative investment managers trading across diverse strategies.

What you will be responsible for

As an AVP you will

  • Plans, schedules, and manages the daily workflow of one or more client relationships

  • Ensures timely and accurate deliverables for each client relationship

  • Has a strong background in treasury services with concentration in expense administration (budgeting, invoicing, etc.), distribution calculations, fund performance and regulatory/client reporting

  • Perform multiple levels of review on client deliverables related to Expense Administration, Distributions, Performance and Regulatory/Board Reporting

  • Cultivates and maintains positive and effective relationships with clients and SSC coworkers

  • Comprehends the scope of services offered to clients and reviews with staff.

  • Identifies and communicates workflow deviations to avoid unwarranted service expansion

  • Oversees the effective coordination of activities with other departments

  • Escalate all delays and issues regarding assigned deliverables timely to VP/MD

  • Ensure all accounting, client and auditor issues are researched and resolved timely

  • Ensures all personnel are appropriately selected, thoroughly trained and given timely and complete performance evaluation feedback

  • Assists in developing targets concerning staffing and productivity, while maintaining greater efficiencies

  • Ensures all controls and procedures are adhered to as well as makes recommendations for improvements

  • Facilitates the successful start-up of new funds and conversion of new clients. Ensures thorough, proper planning

  • Ensures effective use of automation and makes recommendations for current system enhancements. Provides feedback and recommendations for new mutual fund administration applications

  • Remains informed of regulatory changes and new industry and competitor developments

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • BS/BA in Business, Accounting, Finance or equivalent experience preferred

  • 4-6 years related experience

Salary Range:

$85,000 - $152,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
