Software Engineering & Development (State Street Bank and Trust Company; Boston, MA): Will work on a sophisticated electronic trading system built on Java, Node.js and Oracle on the server side and a state-of-the-art front end. The product is expanding both vertically with new features and horizontally into new asset classes and business areas. Key Responsibilities include: Develop high-performing and interactive user interfaces utilizing ReactJS and GraphQL; Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and other developers to gather requirements and identify technical specifications; Collaborate with backend developers to integrate front-end components; Develop and maintain microservices architecture using Docker and Kubernetes; Write clean, efficient and maintainable code, following industry standard coding practices and guidelines; Debug and resolve technical issues, bugs and performance bottlenecks; Participate actively in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring code quality; Enhance user experience while ensuring compatibility with existing platforms; and Ensure that development, coding, privacy and security standards are adhered to at all times. Hybrid telecommuting from within U.S. permitted pursuant to company policy.

Minimum requirements are: Bachelor’s degree, or its equivalent, in Computer Science or related field plus 5 years experience as Software Engineer, with a focus on front-end development with ReactJS. Alternatively, Master’s degree, or its equivalent, in Computer Science or related field plus 3 years experience as Software Engineer, with a focus on front-end development with ReactJS.

Must have: high proficiency in ReactJS and front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and Typescript; experience with back-end technologies such and Node.js and GraphQL; experience in developing UI/UX improvements, focusing on usability and users satisfaction; knowledge of RESTful APIs; experience with version control systems like Git; familiarity with deployment and hosting in cloud environments like AWS, Docker, or Kubernetes; demonstrated knowledge of modern front-end build pipelines and tools; ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile environment; and excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
