Software Engineering & Development (State Street Bank and Trust Company; Boston, MA): Will work on a sophisticated electronic trading system built on Java, Node.js and Oracle on the server side and a state-of-the-art front end. The product is expanding both vertically with new features and horizontally into new asset classes and business areas. Key Responsibilities include: Develop high-performing and interactive user interfaces utilizing ReactJS and GraphQL; Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and other developers to gather requirements and identify technical specifications; Collaborate with backend developers to integrate front-end components; Develop and maintain microservices architecture using Docker and Kubernetes; Write clean, efficient and maintainable code, following industry standard coding practices and guidelines; Debug and resolve technical issues, bugs and performance bottlenecks; Participate actively in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring code quality; Enhance user experience while ensuring compatibility with existing platforms; and Ensure that development, coding, privacy and security standards are adhered to at all times. Hybrid telecommuting from within U.S. permitted pursuant to company policy.
Minimum requirements are: Bachelor’s degree, or its equivalent, in Computer Science or related field plus 5 years experience as Software Engineer, with a focus on front-end development with ReactJS. Alternatively, Master’s degree, or its equivalent, in Computer Science or related field plus 3 years experience as Software Engineer, with a focus on front-end development with ReactJS.
Must have: high proficiency in ReactJS and front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and Typescript; experience with back-end technologies such and Node.js and GraphQL; experience in developing UI/UX improvements, focusing on usability and users satisfaction; knowledge of RESTful APIs; experience with version control systems like Git; familiarity with deployment and hosting in cloud environments like AWS, Docker, or Kubernetes; demonstrated knowledge of modern front-end build pipelines and tools; ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile environment; and excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Salary Range:
$172 744 - $180 000 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
