Software Engineering & Development (State Street Bank And Trust Company; Boston, MA): Will develop sophisticated electronic trading systems handling hundreds of billions of dollars in AUM; build products on Java, Node.js and Oracle on the server side and modern web technologies on the front end; assist in expanding the product suite both vertically with new features and also horizontally into other businesses and new asset classes; assist in a major re-architecture effort in adopting microservices architecture and AWS/Kubernetes; build and deploy applications in DEV, QA, UAT and PROD environment using Jenkins CI/CD pipeline in EKS; and will support production for applications and Oracle database. Telecommuting from within U.S. permitted pursuant to company policy.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or its equivalent, in Computer Science or a related field; and 5 years of experience as a Senior Java Application Developer or in any other occupation/title providing relevant experience.
Must Have: Demonstrated great knowledge and experience with core java 17 or 21 and JEE technologies such as concurrency, JDBC, SpringBoot2.7 or 3.2.X+, Hibernate/JPA etc.; proven ability to write clean and quality code; demonstrated great knowledge and experience with data modeling and database development (SQL, PL/SQL); demonstrated good knowledge and experience of microservices architecture and Kubernetes; demonstrated good knowledge and experience of JMS messaging over IBM MQ; demonstrated good knowledge and experience of Rabbit MQ; demonstrated great knowledge and experience with REST API design and implementation; proven strong communication skills and work ethics; strong time management and communication skills; ability to work under pressure to handle multi-projects at the same time to meet varying deadlines and work volumes; strong management skills and the ability to work in a team environment; strong project management skills or experience; confidence in making decisions autonomously and taking initiative; and proven passion about professional software development.
