Job Description

The Vice President will report into the Wealth Services Head of Strategic Partnerships and Business Development for Custody.

The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting a wide range of strategy and execution activities for the business, including:

  • Collaborate across various internal and external stakeholders to standup a new introducing broker at State Street - ensuring the program is completed on time, on budget and within scope
  • Support the standup of the business through design, plan and implementation
  • Collaborate and reach alignment across internal business, third party partners, and consultants
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leadership across the business including compliance, risk, and business teams to ensure timely and accurate dissemination of information
  • Drive joint and internal governance with internal and external stakeholders. Ensuring active issue management and facilitating required decision making are critical to the role.
  • Support the growth strategy for a substantial, market-leading offering through driving strategic and business development initiatives
  • Support business leaders in executing strategic partnerships with clients, fintech firms, and other third parties
  • Plan and execute business development initiatives in close collaboration with senior management and product management
  • Contribute to the strategic and operating planning processes in partnership with business leaders

What We Value:

Ideal Competencies & Experience

  • Proven track record of managing large programs or implementations across various teams in a fast-paced environment (experience overseeing a FINRA Continuing Membership Application a plus)
  • Exposure to the wealth management servicing industry with proven skillset in translation of industry / client themes and trends into actionable strategy
  • Partnering effectively with a wide range of internal and external constituents
  • Ability to deliver across complex multi-functional projects
  • A customer orientation which allows him/her to solicit, acquire, and act on information from customers concerning their current and future needs, issues, and challenges

Skills / Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree minimum and graduate degree / MBA preferred
  • 7+ years of related experience preferably within the Financial Services industry
  • Implementation management experience in the wealth management or wealth custody industry
  • Consulting experience is a plus, but not required
  • Ability to lead, prioritize and execute on multiple, simultaneous priorities and initiatives
  • Strong delivery focused mindset; ability to work on multiple initiatives in parallel, thinking both tactically and strategically
  • Outstanding verbal and written communications.
  • Superb business judgment and ability to think through complex business issues.
  • Critical assessment capability – ability to maintain a very high bar and deliver excellence in work products.

Salary Range:

$110,000 - $177,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
