Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Managing Director to lead our global Client Operations function. This executive will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end operational delivery of nuanced services to institutional clients, ensuring excellence in execution, client satisfaction, and operational resilience. Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Managing Director to lead our global Client Operations function. This executive will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end operational delivery of nuanced services to institutional clients, ensuring excellence in execution, client satisfaction, and operational resilience. The ideal candidate will bring deep industry expertise, a strong track record of leadership, and a passion for driving transformation in a complex, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage global client operations teams across multiple regions (North America, EMEA, APAC).
  • Oversee daily operational activities for nuanced client activities including trade settlement, cash management, corporate actions, accounting postings, inquiry management (external and internal), and client reporting.
  • Develop a strategic plan for the allocation and relocation of specific tasks that align to different Global Delivery teams, ensuring effective collaboration throughout the process.
  • Ensure operational processes meet regulatory, risk, and compliance standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency, scalability, and client experience.
  • Partner with Technology, Product, and Client Service teams to deliver strategic initiatives and platform enhancements.
  • Serve as a senior escalation point, adeptly resolving complex client issues with precision and timeliness.
  • Develop and execute a global operations strategy aligned with business goals and client needs.
  • Foster a high-performance culture through strong leadership, talent development, and employee engagement.
  • Represent the firm with distinction in industry forums, forging strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders, and reinforcing the firm's reputation as a leader in the industry.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in financial services, with at least 5 years in a senior operations leadership role.
  • Deep understanding of institutional client operations, custody, fund administration, and/or capital markets.
  • Proven ability to lead large, global teams and manage complex operational environments.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and risk management practices.
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated success in driving operational transformation and technology adoption. The Position overview and the Key Responsibilities need to reflect the skills and attributes of the evolving nature of Global Delivery (GD) as well as the function of transitioning over 8500 tasks from Customer Servies (CS) to GD such as
  • Client centric
  • Client facing
  • Strategic development for unpacking tasks across GD (mentioned in the Key responsibilities but needs to be part of the position overview)
  • Solutioning
  • Bespoke service delivery
  • Extensive knowledge of the CS team, tasks, technology, processes, workflow and clients
  • Managing the transition of all the CS tasks as part of Ops2Ops from CS to GD without any drops in client coverage and service
  • Managing the transition of all the CS tasks that need to be moved back from the people who are transferred to GD, while helping the team train on GD skills and systems
  • Unpacking the complexity of the tasks and service that is currently in CS
  • Managing the teams of CS people who move over from CS into GD to take on these many tasks

Salary Range:

$170,000 - $252,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
