State Street’s is making a multi-year strategic investment in Private Markets and the Alternatives Product organization seeks a qualified leader with strong experience and interest in product development and solutioning for Private Credit. With the democratization of Private Markets, the client demand and opportunities to further enhance our capabilities and offerings play a significant role in growing our business.
The VP Private Credit Product Solutioning Manager will be responsible for the development, implementation, enhancement and support of State Street’s Alternatives products, services, delivery channels from conceptual stages through research, development, marketing, training, sales programs, financial metrics, and the entire product life cycle in support of the Alternatives products strategic goals and objectives. The role will report directly to the Senior Vice President of Private Credit & Solutions and work alongside peers to align on a global platform.
Responsibilities
- In collaboration with the SVP of Private Credit & Solutions and our delivery and technology teams, assist in creating our go-to market and product strategy, including assessments of internal capabilities and the competitive landscape as well as drive service and technology enhancements.
- Provide subject matter expertise - strong background in the Private Credit space and have a solid understanding of the end to end strategic operating model and technology stack. Ability to develop solutions that can be deployed for complex clients.
- Drive solutions - support and partner with teams across our global organization to define and solution critical deals and to ensure that the relevant subject matter experts are consulted and that critical design assumptions and strategic options are thoroughly explored.
- Represent State Street at industry events, participate in client meetings and provide thought leadership
- Research & Market Analysis – keeping up to date with key competitor intelligence and emerging industry trends.
- Support sales commercialization activities.
- Assist sales in the sourcing of new business development through industry network, new and existing relationships
- Own pricing of products and service offering, assist sales and relationship teams with negotiation as applicable
- Support annual planning and funding prioritization activities where required.
- Understand the firm’s strategic plans, business, process and architecture and apply that knowledge in the solution design and development phases.

- Excellent project management, analytical and process transformation skills – ability to lead as well as roll up your sleeves as needed
- Ability to organize, prioritize, balance key tasks and manage time effectively.
- Comfortable facilitating project working groups including internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong team player who can thrive in a large complex global organization
Job Requirements and Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required (Finance, Business or Accounting preferred)
- 10+ years experience desirable
- Private Credit experience needed
- Experience in Semi Liquid Product construction and servicing desirable
- Critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills
- Demonstrable experience managing projects and collaborating across teams
- Knowledge of or experience leading product development programs/processes related to the financial services industry is an strong advantage.
Salary Range:
$115,000 - $190,000 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
