Agency Lending Electronic Trading is responsible for connecting one of the industry’s largest pools of institutional lending supply to borrower demand, enabling low-touch market interaction across venues and bilateral channels, researching and implementing quantitative models that drive business performance, and delivering trader-facing platforms through which automated strategies are monitored and controlled.

We are searching for a Vice President to join our team. This role will be based out of our corporate headquarters located in Boston, Massachusetts, USA with a frequent-hybrid onsite requirement of 4-days per week.

What You Will Be Responsible For:
As a Vice President on our Agency Lending Electronic Trading team, you will shape and execute quantitative securities finance trading strategies, drive advancements to our automated trading platform and e-markets connectivity, and collaborate across the firm and broader industry to advance our competitive positioning. The position will focus primarily on North American equities, credit, and rates electronic trading, but will liaison with global team members across Europe and Asia, as well. In this role, you will:
- Research and implement quantitative models to drive pricing, inventory management, trading, risk, and resource management decisions for the agency securities lending business.
- Collaborate with local voice traders, researchers, and fellow strategists to translate market insights into robust, data-driven strategies.
- Independently lead large, cross-functional projects spanning platform enhancements, pricing, market microstructure, and behavioral research, venue integrations, analytics, performance benchmarking, and more.
- Collaborate closely with our Technology partners to bring strategies from prototype to production, evolve our platform, integrate with new trading venues, and troubleshoot production issues.
- Communicate with stakeholders across Technology, Product and Platform, Sales and Client Management, and Trading regarding new features, models, and other notable developments within the team.
- Monitor and manage the automated trading system during U.S. hours – acting as the primary point of contact for counterparties and internal desks, leading issue resolution, proactively seeking optimizations, and escalating tactical decisions appropriately.
- Mentor local team members, guiding fellow colleagues through structured, group assignments while sharing your knowledge and instilling risk excellence behaviors.
- Establish and maintain relationships with equity and fixed income finance traders, quants, and product owners across our counterparties in North America.
- Closely monitor the North American cash equities, credit, and rates markets, evaluating and communicating perceived opportunities and risks to the team.
- Stay abreast of securities finance industry new, trends, and market color in North America, continuously seeking to educate both yourself and your colleagues.
Education And Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in securities finance trading, quantitative research, or technical product management is a requirement.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python, R, etc.) is a requirement.
- An undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Economics, Finance, or a related quantitative discipline is a requirement.
- A strong understanding of securities lending trading dynamics, market structure, regulation, and technology is a requirement.
- A solid grasp of bank capital, liquidity, and leverage constraints and how they impact securities finance businesses is a requirement.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and the ability to distill complex, technical concepts into succinct, digestible executive language is a requirement.
- A demonstrated ability to drive alignment between cross-functional trading, product, engineering, and quant teams is a requirement.
- Experience using Databricks on AWS for real-time streaming analytics and artificial intelligence workloads is a plus.
- Experience with a production systems language (Java, C++, etc.) is a plus.
- A graduate degree (MS, MBA, MFE, or similar) is a plus.
Salary Range:
$170,000 - $173,750 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
