State Street PriceStats— the world’s leading provider of daily inflation data sourced from millions of online consumer prices and trusted by institutional investors, economists, and central banks— is expanding its economics research team to support new product development. In this role, you will join the Boston‑based team to enhance existing research offerings and help shape the next generation of product innovation. The team you’ll be joining is part of State Street Data Intelligence (SSDI), a division dedicated to transforming data into actionable insights for smarter investment decisions. Launched in 2025, SSDI develops and delivers innovative products that give clients a competitive edge through unique data sets, including State Street’s proprietary data assets. Our current offerings include the State Street PriceStats Indices—trusted by hundreds of investors and multiple central banks worldwide—and the State Street Private Capital Indices, which help investors construct and benchmark private equity and credit portfolios. Looking ahead, SSDI is pursuing an ambitious strategy to expand into additional asset classes, providing clients with in depth data on deals and portfolio companies to enhance due diligence and investment selection.

What you will be responsible for

  • Facilitating the monitoring of daily index publications to ensure accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Contributing to the maintenance of existing products and the development of new index offerings
  • Collaborating closely with internal technology teams to support effective product oversight.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; graduate degree preferred in a quantitative field such as economics, finance, mathematics, physics, or a related discipline.
  • 1+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong working knowledge of economic and statistical concepts.
  • Proficiency in programming languages and tools such as STATA, MATLAB, Python, and SQL.

Salary Range:

$65,000 - $113,750 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
