Business Analyst - GlobalLINK, Vice President
Purpose of Role:
Responsible for partnering with GlobalLINK, Engineering, FX, and Markets stakeholders to understand, analyze, and document business and technical requirements for GL Pay.
The role manages GL Pay workstreams across engineering, onboarding, product, QA, and core corporate functions.
Major Responsibilities:
Work with GlobalLINK and Markets product managers, FX SMEs, engineering leads, onboarding teams, and clients to create detailed business and functional requirements for GL Pay enhancements and integrations.
Translate business needs into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, workflow charts, sequence diagrams, and screen mockups.
Partner with Engineering & QA to define and review test cases, participate in sprint planning, validate system behavior, and ensure features meet defined business needs.
Track, manage, and resolve defects during UAT and production phases; support release readiness and post‑release validations.
Document and track production incidents, ensure appropriate escalation paths, monitor resolution progress, and contribute to post‑implementation reviews.
Maintain GL Pay documentation including workflow diagrams, operating models, requirements, release notes, and implementation guides.
Monitor workstream progress, identify risks or blockers, publish progress updates, and recommend mitigation actions.
Communicate and collaborate effectively across FX, Markets, Engineering, Risk, Legal, Operations, and platform teams (Fund Connect, TradeNexus, FX Connect).
Facilitate structured reviews of project plans to ensure timelines are met, scope is clearly communicated, and decisions are documented.
Display a culture of individual ownership and accountability.
Demonstrate the highest standards of the Code of Conduct in day‑to‑day behavior.
Provide timely and accurate management information to support decision‑making.
Support a strong Risk Excellence culture across GlobalLINK and Markets.
Adhere to delegation limits, documentation standards, and required escalation procedures to ensure compliance with internal and external obligations.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree; Masters preferred
Skills and Experience
- 5–8+ years as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Product Analyst in financial services, preferably FX, payments, or electronic trading.
- Understanding of cross‑border payments, FX settlement workflows, beneficiary management, treasury operations, and related exception processes.
- Experience working directly with software engineering teams in Agile (scrum) environments.
- Strong ability to diagnose technical and business issues and drive efficient resolutions.
- Advanced proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and Atlassian suite (JIRA, Confluence).
- Familiarity with FIX, SWIFT, and/or API‑based integrations beneficial.
- Required Competencies - motivation, team skills, ability to work under pressure, etc.
- Excellent prioritization and ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results with imperfect or evolving information.
- Experience designing workflows and user experiences for electronic trading or payment systems is a plus.
- Detail‑oriented, self‑directed, and comfortable working with minimal oversight
Salary Range:
$120,000 - $210,000 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
