Senior Vice President, Non-Financial Risk Management (Global Delivery and Investment Services)
The Senior Vice President, Non-Financial Risk Management is a senior leader responsible for developing, implementing and overseeing the global framework for Non-Financial Risks (including Compliance and Operational Risk) across State Street’s Global Delivery and Investment Services businesses. Reporting to the Chief Compliance and Operational Risk Officer (CCORO), this role ensures that risk management strategies, governance, and practices proactively identify, assess, mitigate and report on non-financial risk exposures, supporting business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities include:
Strategic Leadership:
Develop and maintain the non-financial risk management framework for Global Delivery and Investment Services, ensuring alignment with enterprise-wide policies and regulatory obligations
Advise and consult with business and enterprise leaders on risk-related events, root cause analysis and remediation strategies
Serve as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor to senior management, business partners, and governance committees
Risk Oversight & Advisory:
Provide independent oversight and challenge to First-Line risk management activities within Global Delivery and Investment Services
Lead risk identification, assessment and reporting processes, including scenario analysis, loss event management, and lessons learned
Oversee compliance with applicable laws, regulations and internal policies for non-financial risks
Governance & Reporting:
Chair or participate in relevant risk and compliance committees, ensuring effective escalation and review of risk issues
Prepare and present periodic risk and compliance reports to senior management, regulators, and the Board
Oversee regulatory change management and ensure timely updates to controls and processes to adhere to new and evolving laws, regulations, regulatory guidance, and industry standards
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
Build and maintain effective relationships with business and corporate executives, including Legal and Corporate Audit, and global regulatory authorities
Foster a strong risk excellence culture, ensuring business line ownership and accountability for non-financial risks
Team Leadership:
Lead, manage, and develop a high-performing and diverse team of risk professionals across multiple jurisdictions
Set clear objectives, accountabilities, and performance priorities for the team
Qualification & Skills include:
Minimum 15 years of experience in non-financial risk management, compliance or operational risk in financial services, with executive leadership experience; experience with GSIBs or large, complex financial institutions is a plus
Demonstrated experience with global regulatory requirements and direct engagement with regulators, including remediation activities
Deep expertise in non-financial risk management (compliance, operational risk, technology, model, resiliency, data, third-party) with a global financial services environment
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus at all levels
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment
Experience leading risk management frameworks and teams in a multi-jurisdictional, regulated setting
Demonstrated success in regulatory engagement and managing regulatory exams
Bachelor’s degree required; post-graduate education, with a Master’s, Law, or PhD degree is a plus

Salary Range:
$225,000 - $337,500 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
