Who we are looking for
Join State Street Markets as the Head of Markets Commercial and Client Strategy. You will be responsible for leading global business development and client strategy efforts across the Markets product suite, both internally and externally, to accelerate growth of the business. You will work collaboratively with Markets Product Sales and Business leadership to define and execute our roadmap for client and commercial growth. The Markets product suite is comprised of liquidity, financing, and research solutions; and it is important that you become a subject matter expert for all Markets products, so it would be advantageous to have a background in capital markets. This position will report directly to the Head of Markets Product, Strategy and Business Management.

What you will be responsible for
As the Head of Markets Commercial and Client Strategy, you will:
- Lead a team of seasoned business development professionals across the globe responsible for commercialization efforts, driving measurable growth with new and existing clients across Markets offerings
- Develop Markets-wide targeted client strategies in concert with Markets Sales leadership, aligned to the Firm’s strategy, client objectives and Markets growth priorities, while leveraging the Firm’s resources, balance sheet and thought leadership
- Represent Markets on the Firm’s One State Street SteerCo and Client Advisory Boards to align cross-enterprise client strategies and initiatives
- Partner with Client Portfolio Leads, Global Delivery Client Executives, and sales and relationship management teams across Investment Services and Investment Management to promote Markets capabilities and solutions to deliver One State Street to clients
- Enable cross-Markets connectivity of client coverage teams to deliver on client objectives, ideate on innovative solutions to address client problems and identify areas of cross-sell
- Oversee Markets adoption and implementation of external and internal (Net-Promoter Score) client benchmarking to identify areas to better support clients, deepen partnership, and grow relevance in key areas
- Steer and enhance Markets client analytics capabilities to deliver quantitative and qualitative insights to grow, strengthen and deepen client relationships, capture market share, and facilitate resource deployment
- Institutionalize tracking and monitoring client performance, look-back analyses and share of wallet to identify new opportunities to drive revenue growth
- Elevate team as central point of contact for firm-wide client-facing personnel to drive cross-sell opportunities, increase share of wallet and participate in enterprise-wide client pitches
- Promote Markets innovative award-winning product, platform and thought leadership internally and externally to acquire new and deepen existing client relationships
- Represent Markets at industry conferences and State Street led symposiums with a focus on promoting the Markets brand which includes a holistic set of liquidity, financing, and research solutions
What we value
These skills will help you succeed in this role
- Excellent understanding of capital markets and financial trading services. Subject matter expertise in foreign exchange, securities lending, securities and derivatives trading, electronic trading platforms, and asset management
- Strong commercial sensibility and track record of leading high-performing sales and relationship management teams
- Executive ability to connect enterprise strategy to client and market trends and articulate complex concepts effectively to key stakeholders
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across multi-functional stakeholders, divisions, and jurisdictions in a global financial institution to deliver commercial and client benefits
- Demonstrated ability to cultivate strategic client relationships at senior levels to deliver meaningful client outcomes and drive business results
Education & Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 15 years in sales at a trading or investment management organization
- Proven ability to proactively develop sales leads, operate independently and achieve results
- Significant experience in a Senior Relationship Management, Client Sales, or Broker Relations role
- Salesforce knowledge a plus
- FINRA Series 24, 7 and 63 is a plus
- MBA or CFA is a plus

Salary Range:
$225,000 - $337,500 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
