Job Description:
The candidate has Minimum 10 years of experience in relevant DB development role. Industry experience (preferably in Financial Services) in supporting enterprise applications across various business units and has good exposure to Cloud based database engineering platforms.
Role Summary & Role Description:
- Ability to design/develop based on business requirements by effectively coordinating activities between business analysts, developers and testing team.
- Uses advanced technical expertise in analyzing, designing, estimating, and developing software applications to project schedule.
- Demonstrating strong experience in Oracle RDBMS, PL/SQL, AWS RDS, PostgreSQL, Redshift
- Deploying high performing, quality/bug-free code in production.
- Executing unit test of data populated in target data container, validating expected result and ensuring quality and accuracy.
- Participating in technical design, application build, configuration, unit testing, and production deployment.
- Providing technical expertise and ownership in the diagnosis and resolution of issues, including the determination and provision of workaround solution or escalation to service owners.
Core/Must have skills:
- Hands on database development experience with strong skills in designing, developing and deploying complex applications based databases.
- Strong development experience in SQL,PL/SQL programming and creating database objects, View, Materialized View, Stored Procedures, Triggers, etc.
- Hands on expertise in Data Modeling and DB design with strong skills in performance tuning.
- Hands on experience in setting up data pipelines for ETL jobs across multiple data sources.
- Hands on experience in troubleshooting and resolving database performance issues.
- Hands on working knowledge and experience around Oracle RDBMS, standard AWS services, such has EC2, S3, RDS, PostgreSQL, Redshift.
- Hands on experience in building systems using modern, scalable, resilient, cloud native architectures.
- knowledge of Cloud Security in AWS, specifically IAM Roles & Polices, Security Groups and Encryption keys.
- Optimizing database performance, scalability, ensuring data security and compliance; Able to predict database storage and growth.
- Keeping up to date on the latest cloud database technologies
- Experience with event based, micro-batch and batched high volume and high velocity transaction and data processing system.
- GitHub or any code repository
- Cloud Controller or any Release management Tool
Good to have skills:
Exposure to Public Cloud , ETL Tool
Exp. In Banking Domain preferably Sec Finance
Salary Range:
$90,000 - $157,500 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
