Who we are looking for
State Street Wealth Management business is looking for an experienced Project Manager to build technology solutions that enhance client experience, increase operational efficiency and comply with regulatory mandates. This is a Project Manager position responsible for planning, execution, and governance across multiple technology streams. This role partners closely with Product, Engineering, QA, Architecture, and Business stakeholders to ensure predictable delivery, clear communication, and alignment to business priorities. The candidate should have project Management skills and should be able to work in a structured software development environment.
What you will be responsible for
As a Technical Project Manager you will
- Lead end‑to‑end planning, execution, and delivery of projects, ensuring they meet scope, timeline, and quality expectations.
- Develop and maintain project plans, roadmaps, dependencies, budgets, and schedules.
- Track team commitments, progress, risks, and key milestones.
- Coordinate cross-functional work across Product, Engineering, QA, Architecture, Security, and Operations.
- Prepare and deliver status reports, executive dashboards, and project communications.
- Facilitate governance processes, including steering committees, leadership updates, change control, and release readiness.
- Ensure projects follow organizational PMO standards, documentation processes, and audit/compliance expectations.
- Serve as the central communication point for all project stakeholders.
- Drive alignment on scope, priorities, decisions, and delivery expectations.
- Manage stakeholder escalations with professionalism and solution-oriented thinking.

Education & Preferred Qualifications
- Masters or B.S. degree in Computer Science or related field
- 10+ years of experience in project management, delivery coordination, or PMO roles
- 10+ years of experience in project planning, scheduling, risk management, and dependency tracking
- Experience in managing projects for Credit Risk, Market Risk, Operational Risk and Trading Risk programs
- Strong experience running Release Management or Change Control processes
- Experience in managing projects involving Cloud platforms, API integrations and Data pipelines
- Good to have Project Management certifications
- Solid understanding of Agile concepts (Scrum/Kanban), SDLC basics, and delivery processes.
- Excellent organization, attention to detail, and follow-through.
- Strong communication skills—able to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience supporting release coordination, change management, and production deployment communications.
- Understanding of basic technical concepts: APIs, environments (DEV/UAT/PROD), incident/change processes, and CI/CD terminology.

Salary Range:
$110,000 - $188,750 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
