This role owns the End to End product execution for Private Credit, translating client needs, market complexity, and operational realities into scalable Alpha capabilities across onboarding, asset setup, lifecycle events, data, and reporting. The VP will work closely with clients, operations, technology, and Business Architecture teams to ensure product solutions are fit-for-purpose, operationally sound, and aligned to Alpha’s strategic platform direction.
This is a product role. The VP is expected to provide deep domain-driven input into architecture and design discussions—bringing Private Credit and Bank Loan expertise to shape decisions—while partnering with Business Architecture teams who retain accountability for enterprise and platform architecture.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Market Leadership
- Define and execute the product roadmap for Private Credit and Bank Loan servicing, including record-keeping, lifecycle management, data enrichment, and reporting.
- Drive strategic clarity on how complex credit instruments are supported across Alpha, balancing automation, manual processes, and operating-model constraints.
- Apply deep understanding of private credit and bank loan lifecycles to inform product prioritization and delivery sequencing.
- Represent State Street Alpha in senior client engagements, workshops, and governance forums, articulating product direction, solution trade-offs, and delivery priorities.
- Act as a senior product escalation point for complex client requirements, operating-model questions, and change initiatives.
Product Development & Platform Integration
- Lead cross-functional product development initiatives spanning Technology, Operations, Data, and Client teams, without direct ownership of applications or platforms.
- Partner closely with Business Architecture teams, providing Private Credit and Bank Loan domain expertise to inform target-state designs, data models, and system interaction patterns.
- Ensure product designs support complex instrument features, including:
- Bank Loans and Private Credit loans
- CLOs, structured products, and credit facilities
- Stepped coupon instruments (fixed and floating margin changes)
- Inflation-linked and index-adjusted products
- Pool-factored, amortizing, and delayed-draw structures
- Shell or placeholder securities and pre-listing lifecycle management
- Ensure consistency of security master data, naming conventions, enrichment logic, and downstream data usage where market identifiers are limited or unavailable.
- Drive alignment across core platforms and vendor systems (e.g., Aladdin, Geneva, WSO, accounting and data platforms) to enable straight-through processing where feasible.
Client Engagement & Implementation
- Lead client discovery and solutioning sessions to understand operational pain points, regulatory considerations, and product complexity across Private Credit and Bank Loans.
- Oversee the implementation of new portfolios, products, and capabilities, ensuring clear documentation, lifecycle instruction models, and servicing readiness.
- Apply strong operational judgment to distinguish between scalable standard solutions and justified client-specific exceptions.
- Partner with clients, loan agents, and internal servicing teams to define clear instruction models for lifecycle events and agent-driven activity.
Operational Oversight & Risk Management
- Apply hands-on Middle Office and Back Office operational knowledge to ensure product solutions align with agreed servicing models and SLAs.
- Leverage experience with loan servicers and Bank Loan agents to ensure lifecycle events, accruals, and cashflows are accurately supported.
- Identify and mitigate operational, data, and delivery risks arising from complex instruments, manual processing, or system limitations.
- Drive initiatives to reduce manual intervention where possible, while ensuring strong governance where manual processes remain required.
- Ensure consistent treatment of lifecycle events, accruals, cashflows, and reporting across the end-to-end Alpha operating model.
Cross-Functional Leadership & Change Delivery
- Influence delivery outcomes through strong domain expertise, stakeholder management, and relationship-driven leadership.
- Manage complexity across multiple concurrent Private Credit and Bank Loan initiatives, connecting related efforts into cohesive product outcomes.
- Support feasibility analysis, impact assessments, and prioritization decisions for product enhancements and client-driven changes.
- Help identify missing capabilities and work with partners to prioritize, design, and operationalize those capabilities at scale.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in Private Credit, Bank Loans, private markets, or financial product development.
- Strong hands-on experience with Bank Loan products, including lifecycle events, agent interactions, and servicing models.
- Deep product knowledge across Bank Loans, CLOs, structured products, credit facilities, and related Private Credit instruments.
- Proven experience delivering complex, cross-functional product initiatives in large financial services or asset-servicing organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and influence teams without direct application or architecture ownership.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills; confident engaging with senior internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience with Everest / Allvue, Aladdin, Geneva, WSO, SimCorp, Broadridge Sentry, or similar platforms is a strong advantage.

Salary Range:
$110,000 - $207,500 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
