The Executive Communications, Planning and Execution Lead will play a pivotal role in supporting Chief Operating Officer (COO) communications, executive readiness, and the planning and execution of key initiatives and special projects within State Street Investment Management. Responsibilities include developing executive‑level presentations, coordinating operating rhythm, governance, and reporting, supporting client presentations, managing requests from firmwide board and governance forums. This role requires an execution-oriented individual with a strategic mindset and proven Investment Management experience, able to deliver high quality work under tight deadlines, write and coordinate key COO communications and presentations, navigate ambiguity and collaborate effectively with senior leadership and colleagues across the organization.

Executive Communications & Reporting
- Design and deliver visually compelling executive presentations in direct support of the COO for both internal and client-facing audiences.
- Prepare briefing materials and talking points to support the COO’s engagement in presentations, stakeholder meetings, and other internal and external events.
- Assist with drafting memos, newsletters and other communications on behalf of the COO, ensuring communications reflect his voice and are aligned to his strategic priorities.
- Ensure the COO’s presentations and communications contain current, accurate information, align with brand standards and effectively communicate strategic narratives.
- Maintain a centralized library of executive presentations, reports, templates and assets, and ensure standard content is shared with the leadership team.
- Developing new organizational processes to enable us to work more effectively and efficiently
COO Executive Support
- Coordinate and deliver monthly and quarterly reporting for internal stakeholders, including corporate and board-level materials.
- Support and coordinate high priority engagements and key initiatives for the Office of the COO.
- Track, manage and drive closure on internal and external requests directed to the COO.
- Handle sensitive and time-critical matters on behalf of the COO, ensuring focus on the highest-value priorities.
- Collaborating across the leadership team to acquire the right content and information
Operating Rhythm and Governance
- Own the COO operating cadence, including weekly leadership meetings, monthly business reviews, quarterly governance forums, and offsites.
- Shape and drive effective forums by developing agendas, materials, and follow‑ups that enable clear decisions and alignment.
- Ensure disciplined execution by documenting decisions, tracking actions, and driving accountability to deliver outcomes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field.
- 7-10+ years of experience in communications, marketing, or executive support.
- 5+ years of experience in investment management, financial services business.
- Proven experience supporting senior leaders or in a Chief of Staff, strategy or business operations role.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel; familiarity with SharePoint and Outlook Calendar tools.
- Excellent writing, editing, and visual storytelling skills.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and communication capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high quality work in a fast-paced environment.
- High degree of professionalism, discretion and sound judgment
- Experience with design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.

Salary Range:
$110,000 - $207,500 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
