    Who we are looking for

    Charles River for Private Markets is seeking a Private Credit Product Lead. This Private Credit Product Lead will define and scale the Private Credit strategy within the Charles River Private Markets platform. This role is accountable for delivering institutional-grade credit capabilities across the investment lifecycle and ensuring seamless integration into the broader Alpha ecosystem. This leader will operate at a strategic level, shaping domain direction, commercial growth, and enterprise integration. The ideal candidate is curious, always seeking to challenge their own assumptions and biases, and back up their decisions with quantitative and qualitative data. In this role you will shape the future of the product, and help Charles River for Private Markets, a State Street Company fulfill its mission to accelerate transparency, accuracy, and liquidity in private markets.

    What you will be responsible for

    As Private Credit Product Lead you will

    Strategy & Ownership
    • Define and execute the multi-year Private Credit product vision aligned to Alpha strategy
    • Establish scalable operating models across the private credit lifecycle
    • Drive client adoption and revenue growth within the private credit segment
    • Partner with Sales, Coverage, and Implementation to support commercialization

    Workflow & Domain Leadership
    • Own the end-to-end private credit domain strategy across origination, portfolio management, servicing, and reporting
    • Ensure platform capabilities support institutional investment decision-making, risk oversight, and performance transparency
    • Align private credit workflows with enterprise investment book of record and servicing environments
    • Establish scalable frameworks that accommodate diverse credit strategies and structures

    Enterprise Integration
    • Partner with CRIMS and Alpha leadership to enable total portfolio transparency
    • Ensure private credit capabilities integrate with custody, fund administration, and reporting services
    • Support data governance, control, and regulatory alignment consistent with State Street standards

    Risk & Controls
    • Embed operational resilience and regulatory awareness into product design
    • Maintain strong governance and documentation standards

    Education & Preferred Qualifications

    • Great communication skills and ability to work with people from a variety of backgrounds
    • 8-10 years in private credit, capital markets, asset management, or financial services technology
    • Bachelor’s degree required
      MBA, CFA, CAIA, or equivalent preferred
    • Demonstrated domain understanding of institutional lending and credit investment workflows
    • Experience delivering enterprise-scale product initiatives
    • Strong cross-functional leadership across business, technology, and servicing teams
    • Familiarity with operating within regulated financial institutions
    • A bias for action, and a willingness to make it work in situations where you may have more or fewer resources at your disposal
    • A portfolio that showcases your track record and dedication to continuous improvement
    • Desire to work in a high-growth environment
    • Experience with user research initiatives as part of product discovery
    • Experience working within a component library system, and a demonstrated critical eye toward system maintenance and improvement
    • Private markets experience is a plus


    Additional requirements

    • Ability to travel as required for client engagements (-20%), including internationally

    Salary Range:

    $110,000 - $188,750 Annual

    The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
