Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced professional to prepare and review Expense Services deliverables supporting Expense Administration, Distributions, Performance, and Regulatory Reporting. This role sits within the Expense Services group in State Street’s Alternative Investment Services department and partners with internal stakeholders to produce accurate, timely, and well-documented client deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

Expense Administration

  • Periodic/Annual Expense Budget Analysis

  • Invoice processing

  • Asset Based Fee Calculations

  • Calculating Fixed and Variable accruals

  • Expense Ratio/Proforma Analysis

  • Expense Cap Analysis

  • Acquired Fund Fees & Expenses (AFEE) Expenses of the underlying funds

Distributions

  • Prepare Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual excise distributions for Funds.

    • Calculating net income earned & Capital-gains

    • Calculate Class Level Distribution rates

    • Preparing Certificate of Treasurer

Performance

  • Prepare and review, daily, monthly, semi-annual, and annual Total Returns for the funds

  • Prepare and Review After tax total returns

Regulatory Reporting

  • Prepare Expense Audit and Financial Reporting support

  • N-1A/N-2 Financial Data- Prepare Performance, Expense, and Hypo Tables to be reported in the fund’s prospectus

  • Prepare Annual ICI Primary/Secondary filing support for 1099-DIV filing

  • Prepare and file SEC form 24(f)-2

  • Prepare Form 1099-NECIRS filing

Qualifications

  • Experience preparing and/or reviewing fund Expense Services deliverables across expense administration, distributions, performance, and regulatory reporting.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to calculate and validate budgets, fees, accruals, expense ratios/proformas, and distribution rates.

  • Familiarity with mutual fund distribution and reporting concepts, including net investment income, capital gains, and class-level calculations.

  • Experience supporting regulatory and filing deliverables (e.g., prospectus financial tables, audit support, tax and SEC filings).

  • High attention to detail, strong documentation habits, and ability to meet recurring daily/monthly/quarterly/annual deadlines.

  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of SEC registered fund reporting requirements, including N-1A/N-2 disclosures and related prospectus tables.

  • Experience with excise distributions and preparation of Treasurer certifications.

  • Prior exposure to filings such as SEC Form 24(f)-2 and information reporting support (e.g., 1099-DIV, 1099-NEC).

  • Experience in alternative investment services and/or fund accounting environments.

Salary Range:

$41,600 - $66,560 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
