State Street Investment Management (“State Street IM,” formerly known as State Street Global Advisors or SSGA) is seeking an experienced Product Manager to drive enterprise transformation and deliver scalable, client‑centric outcomes across the Client Experience ecosystem. The role demands expertise across front, middle, and back‑office platforms, with a solid understanding of integrations and data flows to support alignment with the Alpha target operating model and roadmap. Operating at both strategic and execution levels, the Product Manager translates business vision into actionable roadmaps while ensuring disciplined delivery, operational excellence, and effective risk management.
What You Will Be Responsible For:
- Own product leadership for current‑state Middle Office integration with Client Experience platforms, coordinating performance, accounting, security master, and index data flows across the ecosystem.
- Understand the Alpha Target State and ensure that Client Experience features, reporting and platform experiences reinforce that vision
- Understand client’s current state operating model across front, middle, and back-office capabilities and identify where they diverge from the Alpha target state and product roadmap
- Support OKR definition, tracking, and reporting, ensuring alignment between strategy, execution, and outcomes
- Provide thought leadership and guidance on best practices on both product management lifecycle and how to build scalable products.
- Prioritize initiatives to maximize value, balance impact, risk, effort, and dependencies
- Drive adoption, roll-out and continuous improvement post-launch.
- Foster innovation by embracing and leveraging effective use of the latest AI tools.
- Drive cross-functional alignment across business teams, technology, and operations to ensure capabilities meet performance, scalability, and compliance requirements.
- Ensure that products and procedures are well-documented to enable rapid development across product teams.
- Define and track key platform metrics, ensuring transparency and accountability and continuous improvement
- Ability to translate strategy into epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Evaluate and integrate third-party tools and frameworks that enhance platform capabilities and reduce time-to-market.
- Identify and shape meaningful AI use cases that enhance how Program Managers plan, execute, and manage delivery
- Ensure operational excellence and strong risk-management practices
Qualifications:
- Overall, 10+ years of work experience
- 8+ years of relevant business/product experience
- Prior experience in Financial Services
- Understanding of back-office, mid-office systems and workflows
- Deep understanding of asset management and client-experience ecosystems
- Experience supporting senior leaders within Product, Investment Services, or adjacent financial services functions a plus
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience managing a product or application through its lifecycle
- Hands‑on experience working with technology, design, data, and QA teams
- Strong business acumen with the ability to engage with Business SMEs, Engineers, and Architects
- Experience with Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence) for Agile project management and collaboration
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and strategic thinking skills
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
Salary Range:
$110,000 - $188,750 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
