Who we are looking for
We are seeking a Head of Product Change Management (State Street Markets), MD to provide senior leadership over the execution and delivery of Markets’ most critical strategic initiatives.
As part of the Markets Strategy and Product team, this role owns the project and program management of strategic product, infrastructure, and operating model change across Markets, ensuring delivery outcomes are tightly aligned with Markets’ strategic priorities.
This role is critical to ensuring complex, enterprise‑wide change initiatives—spanning product innovation, market expansion, and operating model evolution—are executed in a controlled, scalable, and transparent manner, while enabling growth and strengthening operational resilience.

When owners and managers of institutional assets need research, trading, securities lending and innovative portfolio strategies, they turn to Markets business unit. As our investment research and trading arm, Markets number one goal is to enhance and preserve our clients’ portfolio values by applying technology, optimizing trading, and linking asset classes and markets across the world.
What you will be responsible for
- Oversee change management and project delivery across Markets business lines.
- Personally lead key, high‑visibility or high‑risk initiatives where senior leadership, judgment, and credibility are required.
- Lead, manage, and develop a team of Project Managers, setting clear expectations for delivery quality, ownership, and outcomes.
- Allocate resources across the project portfolio to ensure capacity and skills are aligned with business priorities.
- Coach and develop Project Managers through active engagement, real‑time guidance, and hands‑on leadership.
- Ensure consistent application of project and change management disciplines to drive predictable, high‑quality outcomes.
- Provide clear, concise executive reporting on progress, risks, dependencies, and decision points.

Education & Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
- 15+ years of experience in project management, change management, or enterprise transformation.
- Demonstrated success leading large‑scale, complex, multi‑stakeholder initiatives.
- Proven experience managing and developing teams of Project Managers.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to operate effectively at senior leadership levels
