Software Engineering & Development (State Street Bank And Trust Company; Boston, Massachusetts): Will serve as a senior data developer and an architect responsible for analyzing, developing, trouble shooting, debugging, reviewing and deploying all data components like data architecture, logical and physical data models, database objects and database administration that is needed across multiple client facing Securities Finance Front Office Project and Data delivery initiatives. Specific duties of the position include: providing technical expertise in analyzing, designing, estimating, and developing; reviewing and understanding the processing requirements inclusive of data and transaction volumes, scalability, security and performance requirements; providing technical subject matter expertise in reviewing, analyzing, and resolving complex issues; responsible for resolution, communication, and escalation of critical technical issues; preparing user and systems documentation as needed; identifying and recommending industry best practices; designing and developing with minimum requirements by effectively coordinating activities between business analysts, scrum leads, developers and managers; and providing agile status notes on day-to-day project tasks. Part time telecommuting permitted pursuant to Company policy.


Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, or related technical field plus 5 years' experience as a Software Senior Data Engineer Developer or any occupation/title providing relevant work experience. Alternatively, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, or related technical field plus 7 years as a Software Senior Data Engineer Developer any occupation/title providing relevant work experience.


Must have: exposure to design and development on Oracle or other database management systems and to Oracle data model design for high critical OLTP applications; performance tuning & monitoring using OEM & custom shell scripts; demonstrated solid ability with Oracle Capacity planning & resource management; demonstrated solid ability with Exadata appliance; proven understanding of Goldengate configuration and support; SQL, Stored Procedures, and usage of IBM DB2 related tools & utilities; proven end-to-end understanding of software architecture, design, development, and implementation; Scrum, Agile modeling and adaptive software development; production support activities and root cause analysis, proven ability to apply knowledge and skills to a range of standard and moderately complex activities; proven verbal and written communication skills; and demonstrated experience writing and reviewing technology documents including user guides. (Unless otherwise indicated, State Street is seeking the stated ability in the skills listed above with no specific number of years or amount of experience required. All experience can be gained concurrently.)

Salary Range:

$178,131 - $180,000 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
