IT Asset Management Process Lead
The IT Asset Management (ITAM) Process Lead governs enterprise ITAM processes across the full asset lifecycle, ensuring consistent, compliant, and efficient management of IT assets. This role drives standardization, operational discipline, and continuous improvement across all IT platforms and end‑user computing environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Govern ITAM processes across request, acquisition, deployment, change, maintenance, and retirement.
- Enforce ITAM policies, standards, controls, and operating procedures.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts to address process gaps, inefficiencies, and control weaknesses.
- Manage the ITAM Process Team, providing day‑to‑day leadership, prioritization, and coaching.
- Partner with technology teams, asset owners, and control stakeholders to ensure process adoption and accountability.
- Integrate ITAM practices with IT Service Management (ITIL) processes to support operational efficiency and audit readiness.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for ITAM process questions and escalations.
- Manage corporate IT asset disposal processes and related controls.
Core/Must Have Skills
- 10+ years of experience in IT Asset Management or process governance roles.
- Proven experience owning, enforcing, and governing enterprise‑scale processes.
- Strong knowledge of IT asset lifecycles, CMDBs, SAM/HAM capabilities, and IT Service Management practices.
- Solid understanding of ITIL‑aligned processes and controls, including request fulfillment, change/MACD, incident linkage, governance, risk management, and audit readiness.
- Experience supporting audits, regulatory inquiries, or formal risk assessments.
- Demonstrated ability in process design, documentation, and continuous optimization.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on operational risk, cost management, and efficiency.
- Executive‑level communication and presentation skills.
- Experience leading analysts or small teams and coordinating cross‑functional delivery across technology and control partners.
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience with ServiceNow ITAM, HAM Pro
- Relevant certifications such as Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM), ITIL Foundation, Lean Six Sigma, or other process/governance certifications
- Experience with automation tools such as Copilot
- Hands‑on experience with end‑to‑end IT asset lifecycle operations, including procurement, deployment, inventory management, refresh planning, and decommissioning and disposal.
Salary Range:
$120,000 - $217,500 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
