Who We Are Looking For
We are seeking an experienced Data Integration Lead to lead an engagement, and corresponding execution, with one of State Street’s largest clients. This individual will serve as a senior integration leader responsible for shaping the target-state integration model between STT and the client, translating complex business and technical requirements into a clear, scalable, and well-governed integration strategy.

  • The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience leading large-scale integration programs in complex enterprise environments. This person must be equally comfortable engaging senior client stakeholders and internal teams across product, operations, architecture, technology, and delivery. The successful candidate will combine strong executive presence with deep technical and business fluency, including a strong grasp of data models, data schemas, integration architecture, workflow orchestration, and enterprise data strategy.

  • This role requires a candidate who can lead thoughtful, structured discussions with a sophisticated client, define a pragmatic future-state roadmap with tangible milestones, and ensure that integration decisions support both client outcomes and State Street’s broader strategic objectives. The individual must also be able to distinguish between generic data requirements and proprietary State Street intellectual property, and navigate the engagement in a manner that protects STT’s strategic assets while advancing the client relationship.

Why This Role Is Important to Us

  • This role is critical to State Street as we work with a strategic client to define a target-state integration model that enables a more connected, scalable, and forward-looking operating environment.

  • The Client Integration Lead will play a central role in shaping how STT and the client interact across data, workflows, and integration services, ensuring that the model is commercially credible, technically sound, and aligned with long-term enterprise direction.

  • Success in this role will require balancing current-state realities with future-state aspirations.

  • The Client Integration Lead will help define an integration approach that accounts for both traditional enterprise data integration patterns and more modern integration capabilities, while also incorporating bi-directional workflow interactions where operational processes must move seamlessly across organizational boundaries.

  • This is a high-visibility role with meaningful impact across client strategy, integration design, enterprise architecture, delivery planning, and commercial engagement.

What You Will Be Responsible For
As a Client Integration Lead, you will lead the engagement required to define, align, and advance the target-state integration model between State Street and a strategic client.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead client-facing discussions to define the target-state integration model between STT and the client, including the data, workflow, and architectural principles that will govern the relationship

  • Act as the senior integration partner for the engagement, bringing structure, clarity, and leadership to discussions with client executives and internal stakeholders

  • Translate client business requirements into a coherent integration strategy, roadmap, and milestone-based execution approach

  • Define integration approaches that accommodate both traditional data integration patterns and modern integration models, including API-led, event-driven, and service-based approaches where appropriate

  • Shape integration designs that support bi-directional workflow capabilities between State Street and the client, ensuring that data movement and process interaction are aligned end to end

  • Lead discussions on data models, data schemas, canonical structures, data ownership, and data strategy from both business and technical perspectives

  • Assess client requirements against State Street’s current capabilities, strategic direction, and architectural guardrails to ensure proposed solutions are practical, scalable, and aligned with enterprise priorities

  • Establish a clear distinction between generic client data requirements and State Street intellectual property, ensuring that engagement, design, and documentation practices appropriately protect STT proprietary assets

  • Partner closely with product, operations, architecture, security, legal, and technology teams to align internal stakeholders around the integration strategy and engagement approach

  • Drive the development of interim, transitional, and target-state integration concepts that support client objectives while minimizing unnecessary complexity and long-term rework

  • Create clear, concise materials that support executive discussions, integration governance, decision-making, and roadmap alignment

  • Provide transparent reporting on progress, risks, dependencies, issues, and decisions to senior leadership and key stakeholders

  • Identify critical integration dependencies, sequencing considerations, and milestone commitments needed to advance the target-state model in a disciplined and measurable way

  • Support a repeatable and scalable integration approach that can strengthen strategic client engagement while reinforcing State Street’s architectural and commercial guardrails

  • Ensure all integration planning and engagement activities comply with internal policy, legal, regulatory, security, and risk requirements

What We Value

  • Experience leading large-scale integration efforts in complex financial services or enterprise environments

  • Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns, including batch-based, file-based, API-based, event-driven, and workflow-enabled integration models

  • Strong knowledge of data architecture principles, including data models, schemas, mapping strategies, canonical design, and business-versus-technical data requirements

  • The ability to connect business priorities with technical integration design in a way that is practical, scalable, and strategically aligned

  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead discussions with sophisticated clients and senior internal stakeholders

  • A disciplined and thoughtful approach to roadmap development, including the ability to define tangible milestones, dependencies, and sequencing across complex workstreams

  • Proven ability to navigate ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and drive progress in a complex, matrixed environment

  • Strong commercial judgment, including the ability to engage clients constructively while protecting State Street intellectual property and strategic interests

  • High emotional intelligence, resilience, and the ability to maintain momentum in high-visibility client situations

  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively across business, product, operations, architecture, and technology teams

Demonstrated alignment with State Street’s Enterprise Culture traits:

  • Choose to Own It

  • Break Through Silos

  • Deliver Results Through Integrity

  • Do Better Every Day

  • Care for Colleagues, Clients, and Community

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in technology, engineering, business, finance, data management, or a related field required

  • 12 years + experience in financial services presently in a leadership role, having managed large scale integration efforts

  • Extensive experience leading complex integration programs, enterprise architecture initiatives, or strategic client transformation efforts

  • Strong understanding of data strategy, data modeling, schema design, data mapping, and enterprise integration frameworks

  • Demonstrated experience working across both business and technical teams to translate client needs into structured solution roadmaps

  • Experience leading integration discussions with large, complex clients in a consultative and commercially aware manner

  • Proven ability to define target-state designs and phased implementation approaches for multi-year strategic programs

  • Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills, with the ability to build clear, executive-ready materials

  • Willingness and ability to travel as required
