Who we are looking for

The candidate must have more than 10 years of experience in IT. This role is for a Senior position with strong experience in design, data modeling, Development, performance tuning, providing support and building infrastructure for new client onboarding applications to Snowflake SaaS data warehouse database product and Azure Cloud platform. Candidate will be responsible and working on Infrastructure setup, client onboarding, design and development, and providing Level4 support

This role can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match your needs and role requirements.

What you will be responsible for

As DevOps Engineer you will

  • Provide expertise on the overall SaaS Database platforms’ eco-system’s engineering best practices, standards, architectural approaches, security principles and complex technical resolutions
  • Designing and building fault tolerant solutions that enable the business to securely run sensitive workloads within the cloud environment
  • Liaise with offshore team for implementing the planned deliverables, resolving technical dependencies, issues, and risks
  • Ensure Implementation adheres to architecture and design principles.
  • Identify improvements for security, performance, scalability, reliability, maintainability, and operational cost of our products through use of new technologies, frameworks, tools, and best practices
  • Perform data and/or application integration design and development, technical product assistance and tuning to meet customer performance and functional requirements
  • Drive technical solutions providing best performance and optimal cost
  • Drive common vision, practices and capabilities across teams.

  • Deep understanding of Microsoft Azure IAAS, PAAS and SAAS database product solutions alongwith with cloud native design patterns and DevOps principles (Infrastructure as Code)
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills that are required to operate and navigate a complex organization as a leading member of global, distributed teams that deliver quality services and solutions.
  • Ability to rapidly gain knowledge of the organizational structure of the firm to facilitate work with groups outside of the immediate team.
  • Strong understanding of IAM and RBAC controls in cloud environment
  • Familiar with security in the cloud and between on-premise and cloud
  • Experience in designing and building conceptual/logical data models, data flow diagrams, and data dictionaries
  • Experience in Agile methodologies and SDLC processes

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in CS, CE, CIS, IS, MIS, or engineering disciplines
  • 15+ years overall IT industry experience with atleast 3+ years in a architecture role using service and hosting solutions such as private/public cloud IaaS, PaaS and SaaS platforms.
  • Experience building and supporting mission critical technology components with DR capabilities
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an administrator of SaaS Snowflake data warehouse platform implementing full Account level Disaster Recovery Solution using Azure Platform
  • Completed Snowflake SnowPro certification
  • Knowledge of SaaS Databricks product using Azure cloud is a huge plus.
  • Experience in designing, coding and deploying Terraform templates and a knowledge of ADO
  • Experience in designing and building conceptual/logical data models, data flow diagrams, and data dictionaries
  • Strong knowledge of resolving issues related to Azure cloud resource provisioning and conversant with FMRA (Failure mode and resiliency analysis) related to Azure cloud
  • Experience with designing & architecting SaaS database products with hands on backend systems development & data warehouse platform design experience
  • Must have project release management and deployment experience
  • Experience in financial industry working on financial reporting/regulatory projects is a plus.
  • Strong in Python, Shell Script knowledge to automate support monitoring and alert scripts as a proactive measure

Salary Range:

$110,000 - $185,000 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
