Platform Engineering (State Street Bank and Trust Company; Quincy, Massachusetts): The Platform Engineering position is a hands-on software engineer position in who will be a leading technical contributor to the build out of Cloud-based Performance and Analytics Engine as part of a data services platform. The candidate will apply a proven record of technology project execution with ability to get hands on when it comes to analysis design and execution in the delivery on mission critical projects. Specific duties of the position include: Driving technical excellence by working independently to analyze, design, develop, test, and debug large and complex software enhancements and solutions as part of Next Gen Performance Calc Engine; Participating in analysis, solutions design and deliver of Cloud-based services as part for Alpha Core Platform; Developing applications leveraging various technologies – Java, Python, RDBMS, Kafka, snowflake and Spark; Designing and coding applications for cloud, leveraging Cloud native architecture principles and technologies; Driving change through collaboration and influence; and Clearly communicating complex operational or technical subjects to internal or external clients, both in formal and informal settings. Telecommuting permitted pursuant to company policy.

Minimum requirements: Bachelors degree or equivalent in Computer Sciecne or related technical field; plus 5 years of related experience.

Must have: Proven ability to drive technical excellence by working independently to analyze, design, develop, test, and debug large and complex software enhancements and solutions; Demonstrated experience participating in analysis, solutions design and delivery of Cloud-based services; Demonstrated experience developing applications leveraging various technologies – Java, Python, RDBMS, Kafka, snowflake or Spark; Demonstrated experience designing and coding applications for cloud, leveraging Cloud native architecture principles and technologies; Proven experience driving change through collaboration and influence; and Proven ability to clearly communicate complex operational or technical subjects to internal or external clients, both in formal and informal settings.
