Team Lead, Engineering (State Street Bank and Trust Company; Boston, Massachusetts): Will lead one or more engineering Scrum teams to build and maintain one or more of State Street/Charles River’s (CRD) components or products. Provide engineering expertise for a given product area within the team and across the Engineering organization. Deliver support and assistance to customers and other teams within CRD. Specific duties include: manage a CICD team’s staff, including assignment of work items, employee performance, engagement and professional development; work closely with multiple scrum teams to understand the requirement and align CICD work items with product releases; fulfill the Scrum Master role by leading the team in their Agile development process and working to foster a strong continuous improvement culture; identify improvements in team development and quality including defining new strategies, processes, and required tooling to improve quality; help team to understand and implement cloud native application deployment; work with higher management to recommend software solutions to increase the productivity of the development pipeline; monitor progress on a variety of initiatives and work packages to ensure fulfillment of product and scheduling objectives; mentor team members in cloud based CICD technologies; handle scrum and sprint planning meetings; and analyze legacy applications and help to redesign them to fit in the current work culture. Potential travel less than 10%. Full-time telecommuting permitted pursuant to Company policy.

Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or other technical field; plus 10 years of progressively responsible professional experience in a CICD role (a/k/a release engineering.). Alternatively, Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or other technical field; plus 8 years of progressively responsible professional experience in a CICD role (a/k/a release engineering.).

Must have: demonstrated experience in CI tools like Team city / Jenkins / Harness; demonstrated experience in deployment tools like Argocd; demonstrated experience in cloud env. Azure / Aws; demonstrated admin level experience in managing code repository such as perforce / GIT; demonstrated experience in automating workflows using scripting languages like Perl, shell; solid hands-on experience in Terraform to create cloud infrastructure using code; solid hands-on experience in setting deployment pipeline driven by GITOPS model; demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to clearly and succinctly summarize results for upper management; demonstrated experience in organizing and running efficient meetings; ability to manage solution complexity to ensure simple designs and workflows; ability to coordinate and lead cross-team activities; and strong contributor to project plans and backlog management.
