Who we are looking for

IT is seeking talented a professional for building and implementing Sanctions and AML screening applications. Candidate will work closely with business users, developers and testers to drive implementation of IT solutions. This is a hands on technical leadership position in development team to implement vendor applications. Person will work closely with the vendor professional services staff, development managers and team leads from other State Street applications which interface with the Sanctions Screening applications and drive the execution of projects end to end. The person will also be responsible for identifying and building core re-useable functional components, tools, and services.

The person will also be responsible for working with the corporate architecture teams in State Street to ensure that the solutions conform with corporate architectural and information security standards.

This role can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match your needs and role requirements.

Due to the role requirements this job needs to be performed primarily in the office with some flex work opportunities available.

What you will be responsible for

As Application Development Lead you will

  • Perform Architecture and Design of IT applications to perform Sanctions Screening
  • Lead the development i.e. coding and testing of applications using technologies such as Oracle, Linux, MQ, Autosys, Databricks, perform code reviews and mentor junior developers
  • Work with business partners and translate business requirements into technical specs
  • Provide L4 production support to resolve production issues escalated by prod support team
  • Represent development team in meetings with business partners & analysts, infrastructure teams, and vendors of applications

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering is required.
  • 4+ years’ experience in a deeply technical leadership role in a financial services firm, or in a product development is required.

• Strong Hands-on development experience and ability to mentor junior developers is required.

• Proficiency and deep knowledge in Oracle, PL/SQL, Unix, and Shell Scripts is required.

•A history of delivering working software successfully in an Agile development environment is required

• Excellent communication skills are required.

Additional requirements

•Prior experience working in Fircosoft Continuity or Trust applications is a plus.

•Experience in AWS, Databricks is a plus.

•Experience in AI/ Machine Learning tools is a plus.

Salary Range:

$100,000 - $160,000 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
